The Vetanya Pika folding fat tire ebike surprised me with its top speed. This is a fun day on an electric bike with a few unique encounters passing the police and a brief chat with the "Champion guy". The Vetanya folding ebike is a solid choice if you're looking for a RV lifestyle ebike to load up into a car etc. It's not a light ebike, but I've surely seen heavier. Pop the battery out when loading.
✅ My #1 Favorite Ebike w/ pedals:
This is like the "Trophy Truck" of ebikes, like a pick-up truck with a nitrous switch, huge and has ridiculous power, big 26" off road tires, and big plush suspension... you'll get more smiles per gallon instead of miles per gallon, don't watch this if you aren't preparred to drop $2k today:
• This $2000 Ebike is IN... - Next Level 40+ MPH 😜🤙⚡️
✅ My #1 Favorite "Moped" style Ebike w/ pedals (The Corvette of ebikes: huge performance at a bargain price compared to more refined competitors like Lamborghini and Ferrari, wheels 20" wheels sit lower to the ground)
• The NEW 43 MPH Billy G... - 43 MPH 😜🤙⚡️
Also consider the "Motor Goat V3"
✅ My Favorite "Cheap" and Legal 26" x 4" Fat Ebike (Think of this ebike is the Ford F150 of ebikes: popular, reliable, big, strong, not as polished as a G-Wagon but it can do 95% the same thing at a fraction of the price)
• The BEST Fat Tire Ebik... - Strong, great practical ebike
✅ The "Toyota of Ebikes" (reliable, smaller size, good range, everything you need at a bargain price)
• NEW Velotric Discover ... - Great Value
My Bike Rack for Car / SUV
bit.ly/bike-rack-for-car - I transported a fat tire ebike from Los Angeles to Seattle with this thing, it's super sturdy and great for fat tire ebikes!
My Electric Tire Inflator:
amzn.to/3NmfH3v - Life changing 😆⚡️🤙

Could've easily been the king of folding e-bikes but the cadence sensor is the ultimate dealbreaker! Still sticking to the Hovsco Hovbeta!

I agree. I definitely am looking for a bike with torque v. cadence.
@blown9646
@blown9646 2 ай бұрын
What ive learned that helps tremendously having a cadence vs torque sensor is modulating throttle on lowest pas to match ANY speed and gear. Obviously, this only applies to bikes with a controller that allows max speed in all pas, not throttle limited pas like this bike here. Hope that makes sense and helps anyone else interested, it makes a HUGE difference
@pascalj4331
@pascalj4331 2 ай бұрын
@@blown9646 Cadence is way to go, not just because it's cheaper. You want to go at a set maximum speed in all circumstances other than tight technical trails these bikes are not suited for anyway. Cadence lets you pedal as fast as you want, but you get full acceleration up to your target PAS set speed. Its ok for throttle to be locked to PAS speed. Full torque up to that speed is all that matters.

I hope you review the new Vetanya Kodiak step through with 1000 watt hub. I'm tall like you 6'3", but 20 years older and 100 lbs more and I need something not too afraid of hills in colorado and wont hurt my neck and shoulders by leaning over too much. Thanks for the good reviews, learning a lot and thoroughly enjoy them.

Cool bike but I wish they made something like this with narrower wheels and 1.5” hookworms or something. It would probably save 5 pounds and reduce rolling resistance a lot!
@connicrow9463
@connicrow9463 2 ай бұрын
I done tried skinny tires on my ebike and it's a mistake. 1.5" hookworms def' won't cut it. Too skinny and will fail faster in many ways. Trust me you'll be back to the drawing board looking for wider tires. For something like this ride, and most class 3 ebikes with all the weight and speed -- 2.35 is the absolute bare minimum and 2.5 / 3 / 3.25 / 3.5 is much better. 4" like w this bike is prolly overkill but keep in mind these bikes are sold, intended for off roads private trails, not to be ridden on smooth pavement public roads. But most US riders who buy them don't care as the DOT laws this country are still mostly slack on ebikes, prolly bc they still think it's still a "half bicycle" and underestimate how powerful fast these latest models can be; and perhaps they appreciate people using bicycles / e -powered too which is a win win for traffic congestion and the enviroment

@@connicrow9463 My point exactly. I’d like a road e-bike with smooth, higher pressure tires. I get that these are trail bikes. I don’t ride trails. They don’t exist here. I’m on back roads and shoulders. Low pressure, nobbie fat tires are needlessly inefficient. But you may be right about the width. But even 2.5 inch smooth tread at 60 or 70psi would be an improvement.

@@donschiffer7400 So one of my Ebikes is a DIY, 60V / 2000W Hub Motor Direct Drive, w' a Specialized Dual Susp Frame & 26" wheels. I originally had 2" Schwalbes semi slick treads , but man cornering at 35-40mph was sketchy. I nearly wiped out couple of occasions; then switched to 2.35" and traction improved alot, yet still felt hairy on some high speed turns. I now run 2.5"s at 40-45 psi and yes, much much better. I'd love to go 2.75 or 3 but they won't fit in my frame. High air pressure is not recommended for larger volume tires btw. What you got to understand is unlike regular analog pedal bikes where efficiency skinny hard tires are important, a high powered high speed Ebike requires traction, as not peeling out / wiping out is a huge concern. I like my body the way it is lol. If you like road / hybrid styles bikes w skinnier tires then consider a mid drive e bike. They sell them at the bike shops in the 250 500 Watt motor range and anyone can test one out to see how it feels. These rides tend to be on the expensive side imo. Many people save money and convert their nice hybrid bikes with the very popular Bafang BBS or Tongsen mid drive kits, in the 750W range (or 1000W if you're a speed demon)

@@connicrow9463 Good information. I’m debating buying an e-bike or converting my recumbent to an e-bike. But I assumed those fat tires were for show. I’m pretty sure I could fit 2.5” tires but I’ll need to take some measurements.

Lectric XP 3 is a great bike. There has been competition for it for about 18 months, but the competition hasn't really improved much in the last 12 months other than Engwe, Gforce. AIPAS, Ride1up Portola have competition at XP3's price point. Most of these released over 6 months ago. 48v 750w 20x4 folding hardtail is a great format that provides the essentials for a comfortable fast enough ebike made light enough to pedal, and usually with adjustability that allows athletic pedaling if rider wants it. This bike has an impressive motor and battery size, and includes a lot of mounting points on frame for extras. The UI seems aweful in your review. Cruise control is bad, and some of the time no current display. Acceleration test does not match the impressive sand and hill climbing performance. Small crank is a deal breaker. But it's hard to tell if you fixed anything during review to show current, or if it's just flaky. Price is too high. The 14-17ah ebikes that compete with hgih enough motor power are priced such that a 2nd battery is still cheaper than this. Those older ebikes seem more polished.
