The Anthony Wright Game

Remember this game. I remember Anthony Wright's wife was in labor and had her child right after the game. What a great surprise!

This game was a Ravens Classic! When a Ray Lewis-led defense gives up 41 points to a high-flying offense with Matt Hasselbeck, and Shaun Alexander at the helm, plus Seattle holds Jamal Lewis in check for most of the game, you're not supposed to win that game. THEY DID! Anthony Wright just hours before his 2nd child was born had the game of his life! 4 TD passes all to Marcus Robinson. The thing I remember most about that game (Not live because I was only 1, but from having watched this over and over) is the fact that the Seahawks got trolled by REFBALL. And normally we're the ones having to go against the zebras. But that's not why they lost. They had a 4th and Short and didn't get it, they mugged Marcus Robinson on a deep ball that set up Stover to tie the game, and they should never have let Ed Reed block a punt which set up all of the chaos at the end. But still, this is one of those games, that Ravens fans now matter if they were alive or not will always remember. One quote from Scott Garceau the voice of the Ravens at the time sums up this game best. "And the Ravens came back from the dead!"

The FORCE OUT RULE, would drive defenses crazy. They took it out 2006.

My TV would be out the window so fast if my team gave up a first down on 4th and 28

The Force-Out was as lame as the Tuck Rule. If anyone can think of a lamer rule let me know 😂

A rookie Terrell Suggs. Now, there's a throwback!

Marcus Robinson has to be the most random WR in NFL history to ever have 4 touchdowns in a game

Im glad they got rid of the force out rule. I hated that rule.

BTW, shoutout to Matt Stover. I'm sure Justin Tucker has surpassed the majority of his milestones, but Stover was also an awesome kicker for nearly 20 years with the Browns/Ravens franchise. Got a SB ring too.

What an incredible game. The league should highlight this more often because it's a classic I never knew about

A RARE standout performance from the Ravens offense during the 2000s and it came from a backup QB and a no name receiver. This wasn't your typical Ravens game in this era

I went to this game, it was my 1st NFL Game, me & my dad left in the middle of the 3rd Quarter due to so many fights around us & when i got home the Ravens won in OT, it was the 1st time i heard of OT

Seeing Ed Reed and Ray Lewis on the field in the clip was something else. Ngl, they were the epitome and the heart and soul of that legendary defense alongside T-Suggs doing his thing

As someone who has been a Ravens fan from Day 1 and watched just about every game they've ever played, I don't know how I forgot about this one. What a comeback this was. We never forget about Ray Rice converting a short pass from Flacco on 4th and 29 against the Chargers, leading to a win that kept our playoff hopes alive the year we went on to win the Super Bowl in the 2012 season. But this 4th and 28 play where Anthony Wright's pass was good for 30 yards towards the end of the game is just as impressive and clutch as that other play. It isn't too often a team is down by 10 points with less than two minutes left in regulation and comes back to win it in OT. What a game. And that defense. Guys like Suggs, Lewis, Reed, Boulware. Those were the days.

I was in 1st grade and had just turned 6 2 days prior to this game. Orlando Brown’s son was in my class and he came to visit our school a couple of weeks before this game lol
