At first it seems like the graphics aren’t great but eventually I barely noticed it. The way you can hold a rifle and toss a grenade is so cool and the AI enemies are so dynamic. The way they charge the door is such a curveball. And those snap shots you make, god damn. Awesome stuff

I actually am more immersed into this game than I would be with graphics that are realistic like in Pavlov. I think it's because the realistic looking locations and people in a game like Pavlov aren't quite real enough and you can tell it's using unreal engine. But, when the graphics are like this, your brain fills in the blanks and it ends up just feeling better.

Okay. The helicopter coming in at the end is a detail that so many games leave out, but it adds so much. Hoping we eventually get to insert via dynamic vehicle heli, rhib, truck…maybe even the white whale? A vehicle to vehicle interdiction? NPC driving the car or cars, then you and your team pile out, nail the bodyguards and bag and tag the VIP in the back seat…

Loving the art style. Keeping things simplified allows for better readability in VR, as well as better performance. You definitely don't need a jaw droppingly gorgeous game to have fun, challenging, and engaging gameplay.

Good muscle training for using a real military helmet. I might use a VR headset everyday for an hour so I can train my neck to get used to the weight. This way if I own and use a military helmet, my neck would already be used to it. I am a military nerd and I like military technology cuz it’s cool.

VR games focusing more on the mechanics of the game compared to how it looks would definitely be the best way to go. Onward can be a fun game. The graphical downgrade isn't even a big issue to me when compared to actual gameplay. But I also feel like the gameplay in Onward needs some more refining

I'll be purchasing this on steam when it drops to show more support to the dev. I'm going to keep the app lab version installed on the headset in case I'm on the go and ever want to show the game to someone. Really hope it does well for them on the pc platform.

Can't wait to buy this game on Steam, it looks so goood. I really dig the minimal poly art style in VR games too, kind of gives it a unique character and also is just generally good for performance, meaning more people could get into the game and boost the community. Hopefully there's good matchmaking / server browsing at launch so we can all team up for amateur hour CQB lol

I've always liked keeping a "cartoonish" style of visuals for mechanically complex games like this. This feels like a simplified Ready Or Not with more fluid movement. I assume it's made for VR, and I have to say that it honestly looks really good! I could see myself grinding this if I had VR. The firearms handling details, like not flagging at 7:15, are what I look for whether the game has gorgeously sophisticated or gorgeously simple graphics. My only nitpick is that some of your teammates' movement is sometimes unnaturally fast (7:11). I think this is a consequence of mixing VR with comfortable gameplay, so I can look past that. Stunning work!

I think graphics become relevant when the game's intent is to bring realism and better connectivity and relatability with the game. In competitive games, it is simply an nice added touch for the majority of the playerbase, as the focus strengthens on tactics and solving problems and graphics can become irrelevant. However, games such as Forza and Doom that have incredible graphical details that adds such a sleek and exciting addition to the game is certainly a worthwhile investment, to a inferred case of already having great maneuverability, control and smoothness it it.

Being able to ready a banger is so cool. You just don't get that in flat screen gaming as it doesn't have a way to extend your arms out so point can see it. Nor can you break your wrist in flat screen gaming. Looks like the only thing missing would be able to hold onto a partial mag during tactical reloads. But seeing #2 hold that banger over point's shoulder was the geek moment for me. Plus the legit muzzle discipline you can have in VR is awesome, too. Collapsing the rifle, high ready, low ready, manipulating corners...that's awesome.

Gameplay wise looks really great and honestly the visuals work well for VR. With current VR systems the resolution tends to be relatively bad so big blocky models and simple high contrast textures cause less eye fatigue and help with target identification etc.

The same can be said about vtol vr and gorilla tag. The graphics aren’t what provide the realism but it’s the complexity and fluidity of the gameplay itself that immerses you. I’m glad that this point is being made about vr games because this is what makes better vr games

AAA titles require such a long list of members it's unreal to even try, as an indie developer, to even try and get the same feel. So its great seeing them just make a game regardless of how it looks. If it's fun, people will play it.

The graphics honestly remind me of VTOL VR's graphics with its low polyish graphics, but serve good advanced controls and tactics within the game. I can definitely see this game in the future having a very loyal fan base similar to VTOL's fanbase just with a boots on the ground variation.

I think the game is cool and looks great. It may not be realism but once you get into it you don’t even notice the graphics as you get kicked in and the bread and butter here is the realism of the actual movements and mechanics. I like how you can practice tactics that’s pretty cool. I wish I could get VR and play this game but I spend all my spare coin on ammo😂

To this day I still play games from the 2000's era on repeat and finding hidden gems that passed under my radar and graphics don't bother me, not even a bit. Most video games companies those time were in synch with devs to produce quality fun & enjoyable games.

Curious on how you got the pump shotgun to breach. I was not able to load the shells into the shotgun. They wouldn't go into the hole of the gun for me.
