This is the biggest combine I’ve ever seen! We spent a day trying this claas lexion 8700 TT combine on some of our corn here at the farm. Let’s see how it did! Big thanks to Scott and Altorfer Ag for giving us this opportunity.

This is a great way for Claas to get more exposure to the ag community. It would be helpful if they would give an approximate cost... this applies to the JD, IHNH, and others as well.

What cost? Purchase price? Cost of ownership? Cost of less grain loss or dockage? Most lexion stores have a free support person. Different type of dealer customer relationship. I bought an old used lexion and as a JD mechanic i am so glad i did.

great stuff Carl! I've always liked the Claas brand. I've been looking at their twin rotory hay rake for years. we have a single rotor rake at the moment and it takes forever to rake a field up for hay. Who is flying that drone when your driving the combine???
@dodgebrothersfarmandranch92063 жыл бұрын
Actually I had someone else drive the combine for a spell so I could get good drone footage. Normally I fly it myself in auto track mode but the wind was so strong I didn’t trust it. My buddy has a Krone twin rotor rake and it’s pretty sweet. I know Kuhn also makes a good one.

Great video as always. What di you think is the best advantage of the Claas over Red or Green? Where is it made and would service be an issue ?
@dodgebrothersfarmandranch92063 жыл бұрын
I should talk about this in an upcoming vid. I think the main advantage is that pre-separator. But I really don’t like how complicated that machine is. There are so many more moving parts. They are assembled in Omaha Nebraska and we have a dealer an hour and a half away. But they have service guys that live all over and the closest one to us is 20 miles.

Dodge Brothers Farm and Ranch we did. Like you said the power is amazing on them. We could get a smaller machine and do what two of the Deere’s does. The samples were great. And although different at first the joystick actually felt a bit more ergonomic.

Pretty impressive machine! Are they price competitive with JD & IH Case? They seem to have better features... your opinion?
@dodgebrothersfarmandranch92063 жыл бұрын
I think it’s a great machine. I really like the automation and the pre-separation. I really don’t like how complex they are. Way more moving parts than the John Deere. I also could never see paying $800,000 for one. They re probably in line with Deere and case for that size of a machine.
