I’m soo far from being any type of farmer, ever. But watching videos like this are so informative and make you really appreciate the knowledge and work these people have and do to bring us our food.

Informative…thank you! Farmers chisel plow to break up the hard pan. Because the two brands of chisels wear at significantly different rates, you have to wonder if you are reaching the hard pan with a 5” chisel.
@user-rb9qn8yh2vАй бұрын
it would be nice to know the price difference between the two shovels. It might the case where you get what you pay for !
@dodgebrothersfarmandranch9206Ай бұрын
The high wear shovels cost about 3X

Years ago Farm Show had an article about a farmer who burned corn stalks to dry his corn and saved a lot of money.
@dodgebrothersfarmandranch9206Ай бұрын
I feel like the savings would be offset by all the lost fertility
@MustangsTrainsMowersАй бұрын
@@dodgebrothersfarmandranch9206 The article said that he didn’t use very many acres of corn stalks to dry his corn.

for 300 dollars for that tester which i think is a ripoff. there is a much better way to test the fence and it is free. take your wife by the hand. do not tell her what you are doing then say in a sweet voice. " honey do me a favor. see if that wire is tight.. and when she grabs it and knocks her on her fanny and you better be a fast runner and make sure you have a sleeping bag in the garage and a good attorney. i have gone thru 9 wives but hey! my fence still works
@dodgebrothersfarmandranch9206Ай бұрын

You're running a 340 horsepower tractor against a John Deere 370 horsepower tractor so what is the surprised the dear has more horsepower big deal and do they weigh the same I don't think so
@dodgebrothersfarmandranch9206Ай бұрын
That was the whole point. We already knew from running the 340 for two years that it was barely big enough to do what we wanted. We were shopping for a bigger tractor and we needed to know if the 370 John Deere was going to be big enough. We also wanted to figure out if a four-wheel-drive articulated tractor would work better.
@pirateatfourty2 ай бұрын
a serious question. last combinei bought was 400 grand was a john deere. been retired now for 10 years. so whats a new combine cost now?
@dodgebrothersfarmandranch9206Ай бұрын
If you want a brand new one you can spend up to $1,000,000 on the big ones

Try your stone fork before you order another manure fork also if you get a manure fork consider a grapple on top word of a difference

The rock bucket just gets packed full of hay and then it won’t work at all. It does work good for breaking up ice though

There's a bunch of overseas attachments comming in to our country for half the cost and they are junk!. Compare them to a good brand and you will see the difference.

You traded down for that second tine bucket. The tapered FORGED tines on the first one were far superior to the "lopped-off cold-rolled steel" tines on the second one. You'll understand once you try to jam those angle-cut (effectively blunt) tines into compacted bedding. I would probably have moaned like all-get-out to the first fabricator, got a partial refund, and mod'ded (or pursuaded the fab'er to fix) the quick-hitch angle on the first one since you had to do some "cut and paste" on it. The latch hole issue could have been addressed simultaneously.. I sure hope the second one was less expensive, because those forged spears are $40+ EACH. They don't bend and their conical attachement ends are also a far better mount than a "rattle bolt in a hole." You'll see.....luckily you didn't "man down" on those tapers because that's m.o.l. permanent, especially after a bit of rust starts happening. Use Never-Sieze or equivalent here. Always enjoy your videos. Your honest hard-working lifestyle is, for me, far in the rear-view-mirror but happy to voyeur yours. Like the ol' wag said: "Work fascinates me! I could sit an' watch it for hours."

I bought the same tittan tine bucket as you and It didn't fit right on my bobcat t770 and I got absolutely no help from them at all so not only do they sell bad products they have even worse customer service, may even be making a video like this as well, especially now that I know it's not just mine that is junk
@shaunsmuder16373 ай бұрын
I had to cut mine all apart and reweld it back together just to make it work. And this bucket wasn't cheap.

Bought a new snowblower that was supposed to fit our quick hitch and it was 3/8 of an inch too wide. They offered to fix it but we didn’t want the powder coat damage so they paid for refabricating the quick hitch.
