In this video, Phoenix and I spend some time with the Japanese fishing brand called DRT as they host an event as well as take us out on Japan's biggest lake, Lake Biwa! While bass fishing, we were able to try out a new prototype glide bait called the "Pharaoh" which is made from a cloth material and hard inner shell. Is this a look at the future of glide baits?

I wonder what kind of shrimp or crawfish 🦞 are in that lake.. that’ll be an interesting bait to throw.. match the hatch. Jig like lure maybe.. I’m sure they figured it out. Sometimes people release pet shrimp that maybe become abundant and a good food source for bass that goes unnoticed because of catch and release and the stomach contents are never revealed..
@Pierrepadda

do you sometimes fish 40-80 feet deep pelagic where there are bait fish nearby. in Sweden, in recent years we have started fishing for pike with great success in that way. large fish that rarely see a bait and that only hunt in open water over great depths. Maby big Bass Do the same.

@@crazybassfisher I love seeing innovation in the industry like this. With all the new printing options a material based bait like that can look so real. I’ve thought about just doing tails out of a waterproof fabric so it has that natural movement that is so tough to reproduce. Thanks for sharing bro

These videos are really making people not want to fish Japan. I have never seen multiple “fishing” videos of “legendary” spots where nothing is caught and everyone acts like that’s normal. Any major lake in the southern US is going to smash Biwa. But it’s Japan so we have to think it’s cool.
