Angelina seems relaxed because she has complete confidence in her singing ability in addition to receiving complete support from her mother and grandmother. If you pay attention you can see the reflexion of Angelina’s grandmother in the window of the studio door.

Congratulations. You have just entered the Twilight Zone. You are going to run the gamut from Whitney Houston, Etta James, Freddie Mercury, Billy Holiday, Sinatra (Frank and Nancy), Adele, Amy Whinehouse Dean Martin, Michael Jackson, Patsy Cline, Cole Porter, Willie Nelson and many, many more all in one exceptional young lady. I'm 60 years old and have never heard such a versatile voice and artist of any age. She takes every song she sings and makes it her own. She is one of the best I've ever heard. Now it's time for you to join the rest of us on this amazing journey with this remarkable girl.

It was part of her early days of recording... Not professionally but more of for fun. Angelina is like no other 5, 6 years old kid who will asked their parents to bring her to a Carnaval or places like that. Angelina's playground at that early age is the recording studio. And that's heaven for her. Again her passion for music is so evident in this super young age. Her performance here is not perfect but as you said what she did here is something way beyond her age. Well some top singers of today started at around 10 years old and that's the time they are learning with all the imperfections of being that young. Angelina started to learn at around 5... And by the age of 8 and up she's already performing at a very high level where other prodigy are just learning the ABCs of singing. The one you reacted before where she wowed you...she's around 9 there. Thankyou for reacting again to her.

My absolute favorite bit of this performance is that happy little fist pump and smile at 2:47. You can see how excited nailing that high note made her. Thanks for the quick follow-up reaction - if anyone is worth bending a rule or two for, it's Angelina Jordan! She's just that good.

Wonderful reaction Frank to (6) Angie. Here's what was said in the sound booth.Written by Ben E. King & covered by Tom Jones & Shirley Bassey from the sound booth she's in, is at Kulturskolen in Oslo (public school for extracurricular studies of music and other performing arts) and the technician is one of the teachers at the school. The school realized she had a unique voice & didn't want to mess with it. So they taught her music theory & to play some music instruments. After the song. and courtesy of Angelina's Norwegian fans, the conversation afterwards was as follow: Angelina: Was it ok? Tech: I think it was very good for being a first take. I think it was absolutely fantastic. There were some problems in the middle section . Angelina: Yes, because ... Tech: You stumbled on the words. What do you think yourself? Angelina: Well ... it was .... fine, except for that sentence. (From @rotorhead1942) Remember that most kids & her around this age are still learning to read & write in her own language (Norwegian) & she was also learning Farsi (Persian) & Swedish & English some Japanese & she's still learning her 4 instruments, etc etc (now 5 instruments) She's 6 almost 7 years old. She did this about a year before NGT. It’s hard to grasp that at times. Angie’s grandma (Mery) released this 3 yrs later. Angie has been the driving force behind Angie. God gave her the gifts & she keeps them sharp & in shape so not to lose them or take advantage of the gifts. (kind of like the adage: “lose it if you don't use it” She doesn't take it or anything God gave for granted. Angie at this age, has already more class & character beyond most adults now a days. I’ve come to the conclusion that Angie sings like an instrumentalist, combined with narrative music. Another reason she’s so especially rare & great. Thank God our heavenly father for her & for Angie understanding that early on.

I may be totally wrong, but I suspect this was not actually recorded for publishing, but for Angelina to train and listen to herself with music afterwards. Still, if you watch her later covers, you'll see that one take is no problem for her. And I'll repeat myself: I highly recommend "Gloomy Sunday" for an early reaction. Angelina does not only have the voice and technique, but a musical understanding, timing and respect for the empty space in music. You want to see that in this performance (first NGT audition when she was 7): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qK9mjcuD0J6aeKc.html

This is the earliest video of her performing, over a year before her mother let her audition for Norway's Got Talent, which she won. Although this is far from perfect, in the context that this is a 1st grader singing this, it is outstanding. Can you imagine what the talent show at her elementary school would have been like. "Now we will have 1st grader Angelina Jordan sing I Who Have Nothing." Can you imagine the reaction of the other parents. Actually, there is a short home video of her in her crib with a toy microphone trying to sing Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You at 18 months. She recently redid the song 11 years later and it's amazing. She is out of this world talented. My favorite performance of her is Adel's A Million Years Ago. Her voice is shear beauty and it is so much better than the original. For shear emotion. I recommend her dedication of You Were Always On My Mind a week after her grandfather died. If you can get through that performance without crying, you are a better man than I. Angelina from 6-8 was a great child singer. By 9-10 you can drop the "child" part and by 10-11 she was one of the best singers in the world. From 12 on she is on a level all her own. I am totally addicted to her voice and can't get through a day without hearing it.

@js33412

I wouldn't consider English a third language for her. First, her father travels for business and when he has had long projects in the U.S., she comes along. So she has lived in the U.S. Second, from videos I see that her school conducts classes in English. And only once or twice have I heard her sing in any language other than English - that is what she listens to. I understand that she had some trouble with Norwegian initially because of her travels, but has caught up. She may speak with her grandmother in Farsi, but I know nothing about that. And her father is Swedish, so she probably knows some Swedish too!

Thank you for another Angelina Jordan reaction, I am looking forward too many more. I have subscribed to you because of your Angelina Jordan cover. As you get several suggestions to witch Angelina Jordan song to react to next, I want to beg you to react to another astonishing Norwegian artist that should also be considered a genius; the magical Aurora. Angelina's voice is a hot wind heavily scented with spices, blowing over the dessert sand on a moonlit night, while Aurora's voice is the sparkle as the sun hits the water, glinting so strong it almost blinds you and create rainbows on your retinas. Aurora has the same extraordinary capability as Angelina to sing with emotion and make her audience feel what she is singing, as Angelina she has an uncanny control over her voice and as Angelina she goes away inside her mind when she sings. When Aurora was six years old, she found a keyboard in the attic, she started to play and she discovered that she could play Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata bye ear. She started writing melodies as a diary for herself at six years old and when she was nine years old, she started to write lyrics. She did all this in secret only for herself and Aurora's family didn’t know she sang until she was fourteen years old. Aurora does not sing only with her voice; she uses her whole body and it is as if she is dancing an interpretive dance while as she sings, when she accompanies herself on the piano, she even dances with her hands as she plays. I suggest you react to Aurora singing her song Runaway at The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert, she wrote the song in one hour when she was eleven years old. She looks really young when she performed at The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert, but she was nineteen years old. This is a very good example of how Aurora is within her own world when she sings as you can see when the song is over and the applause comes that she comes back to this world. Aurora has done many covers and they are all magnificent, so I will also suggest you react to her cover of Ariana Grande’s Good Is A Woman. I would like to note that her when she sang the Ariana Grande cover of Good Is A Woman it was on a radio show called P3 Live. The artists do an interview and get to sing one of their own song and do a cover, but they do not know in advance what song they will be covering and only get to know that when they arrive at the radio station an hour or two before they go on live radio. Aurora has covered Wrecking Ball, Believer and God Is A Woman on P3 Live, and you can see she has notes in front of her with the lyrics. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fMlni7qIxKvMkmw.html AURORA - RUNAWAY - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert kzfaq.info?search_query=aurora+good+is+a+woman P3 Live: AURORA "God is a woman" (Ariana Grande cover)

I agree she is a genius, people say her mom wants her to live a normal life that is why she is not singing professionally, but in my opinion she is not a normal girl, she has that fire inside of her, so much that she can handle the pressure of singing and her mom is just trying to stop it and making her waste precious time, is as if we did it to those kids with high IQs who know math, or chemistry, who win awards and build amazing things for humanity, she is a force and she was born this way, I don't see it as a noble thing, to me is a mistake she will regret.

Sorry Eve, but what Angelina's mom said is that she must have a normal childhood as possible. Meanwhile Angelina has being progressing in her vocal development and performing mainly in her school breaks. Doing your way i means to sign to a label as a child, and surely would result in long concert tours, with excessive hours singing and a almost certain lost of her voice. It would configure a depressed teenager for being away from her family and friends, living in hotel rooms between concerts and traveling town to town for long times. The consequences of that way of living are known to everyone.

Why those kids fail, one, they are pushed into it, they don't have the same abilities and mental capabilities, their parents want to live their dreams through their kids, no parental supervision, and so on, so can it be done? yes, if she is so concern yes, it can be done, she can help her achieve it without being overbearing and without getting all the attention, in other words by being a parent...

@@everuby4787 You don't need to tell me how genius Angelina is, i know every one of the 113 songs sang be Angelina and public until today (in 6 years). Believe me, Angelina is progressing day by day, and that wouldn't be possible if a label would taken control of her life. And that number of songs says something about how much supporter have being Angelina's family. She will be a world star, no questning about it, with the right conditions for an amazing and long singer career.

No one knows what the right way is. But as the saying goes “Learn from the mistakes of others, you will never have the time to commit them all by yourself”. And they have close up witnessed such a case, the rise and fall of Tim Bergling (Avicii, R.I.P.). Britney Spears was also very successful as a child, today with 37 she doesn't even have the right to self-determination (legal incapacitation). So, imo, they're doing the right thing, taking it slow and carefully. She already has a lot of fans and has sold her own album (It’s Magic), which has already earned her nearly half a million dollars. She has industry supporters like Mark Ronson, Quincy Johns, Adam Walkers, Michael Jackson's mother Katherine Jackson, Nico Cartosio, to name a few. In the end, only she and her family can evaluate it and decide. I definitely enjoy every song she releases and hope that everything will be good for her personally and for her career.

I agree with her parents 100%. While there are some child singers out there that rely on their appeal of being "good for a kid", and need to 'cash in' before their cuteness wears off, this is not the case with Angelina. The 'kid' part barely even plays into what makes her so good. Trying to be a professional, working singer at 13 is just a recipe for disaster and basically stealing her childhood away from her. She has plenty of time to work on her craft in her own way... without being driven to produce by a label. Here is a direct quote from Angelina that sums it up better than I could put it: "I put a lot of emotion into my music and I cannot do something that doesn't feel natural, therefore to be an independent artist, is for now something that suits me best" - Angelina Jordan (this is not her mother talking, this is her very own vision) This girl has a good head on her shoulders, and her (bare)feet planted firmly on the ground. She knows where she wants to go, and doesn't need to be in hurry to get there.

Her mother is Norwegian of Persian/Japanese heritage, and her father is Swedish. That's four languages in the family, right there. She lived in the US for a short time, which will have helped greatly in learning English. So, it's somewhere between her 1½th and 5th language. Jeez... I thought I was making sense, but now I've just gone and confused myself. She keeps making me do that.

Video recorded by Grandmother with cell phone. This was at her school. I believe this was 2nd or 3rd time in booth. There is previous video of Rolling In the Deep. 6 years old what a treasure. Other things to contemplate. She selects her own music and arranges from age 5. I could not get my daughter to read words with 5 letters at age 5. Here Angelina is reading lyrics in English and singing. English is third language. Just WOW

Thank you so much for doing another reaction so fast after your first reaction to Angelina Jordan. She was 6 years old in this and she allready had that raspy jazz/blues voice and this was recorded before she first appeared on Norway got talent at the age of 7 years old when we all SAW her for the very first time. This song was called «I who have nothing» by shirley bassey i think it was. But you probaly thought it was «I have nothing» by Whitney Houston. But don’t fear she has done that one too when she was about 12 years old so i will leave you the link to that here. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m7qTqdmAm6iXeaM.html. She gonna blow your mind in that one too so you have to react to that one too. She has also done «I will always love you». By Whitney Houston i will leave to that link too here. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m9OcZ9d6pte7hY0.html. But she has over 100 amazing covers that she do acustic , consert , live in shows. And on Instagram. So this rabbit Hole of Angelina Jordan is very deep just like her voice . So there is much to look forward to . She also has 3 Original songs that she wrote herself that are amazing too. I will leave you the links here for you to react to. First one is called «What is life» . kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eNxgpZposLSbgnU.html. Second one is called «Oslo». kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q952YK6azrm6n3U.html. And the last one she wrote is called «Shield». kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z952daqnv7alhaM.html. She wrote those three songs at the age of around 12 years old. Hope you will time to react to those songs very soon.
