Whats even crazier about Johns video is he was doing that based on old knowledge of how shinies worked in lets go. It was learned a bit ago that shiny chaining in lets go only applies the shiny odds to the -next- spawn of the pokemon, meaning the optimal way is to keep catching that pokemon. So he really was just shiny hunting at full odds (maybe half odds if he used a lure) that whole video

I generally only shiny hunt for *very* specific Pokemon that I have some sort of strong attachment to, otherwise I generally don't bother....though I will naturally catch any shiny that I *do* run into. Gardevoir is one of them due to how consistently reliable Gardevoir has been for me (it's the one Pokemon that I ALWAYS try to get ASAP whenever it's available in the game, as soon as I found out that Ralts can be found in the Grand Underground of Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl [I skipped the original Gen 5 games, so Brilliant Diamond is my first time actually experiencing the Sinnoh region for myself, and I only just got BD a few days ago], I very aggressively hunted for both a male and female Ralts in order to eventually get both a Gardevoir & Gallade, and I will later return to shiny hunt for a male Ralts, as I already own a shiny male and female Gardevoir [the former I found in Legends Arceus as a Gardevoir, as had I found it as a Ralts/Kirlia I would have evolved it into a Gallade instead]). Another is Charizard (of which I have two shinies). And I also have a shiny Ho-Oh. Not entirely sure what my next shiny hunt will be just yet (I most recently got myself a shiny Cyndaquil & Grotle in Legends Arceus, and with the former I'm still debating whether I want to evolve it into normal or Hisuian Typhlosion, but if I get a second one I won't need to debate anymore).

I started this challenge after I saw his video. I beat Brock after about 180 hours. Ekans and charmander are difficult though. My eevee is like level 87 Edit: I forgot to mention something I noticed he hasn’t done. You can get all the alolan species as well in trades. Guess who currently is stocked in ratattas and pikachus, soon geodudes as well…

@@AdrianCS128 true, but when you essentially 100 normal extras, they should theoretically be about 40 resets each. It’ll take time but it’s better then just closing and reopening every trade.

I found a shiny last week, no shiny hunting method; it was 2 encounters and bam, shiny on the 2nd encounter and I caught a shiny Skorupi. Wanted to scream at the top of my lungs cause I was excited, but then remembered that everyone else in the house was asleep, so I just started dancing around after catching it.

You actually have to kill the legendarys and other encounters like snorlax in order to catch them, so you don’t have worry about dealing to much damage, also they can’t run away

The only reason John hasn't caught a Sandshrew in Let's Go, is because he had Let's Go Eevee and Sandshrew spawns only in Let's go Pikachu. Same thing with Oddish, it only appears in Let's Go Pikachu and not Let's Go Eevee.

Jack, how many times have you played this game actually. Oddish, Sandshrew, and Arcanine are all Let's Go Pikachu exclusive pokemon, and, Safari Zone doesn't exsist in these games, it was replaced with the Go Park, so you could transfer pokemon from Pokemon Go into Pokemon Let's Go
