Your speed will not be affected by which gun you have out while carrying a hostage. In other words, switching to knife will not make you faster.

@@ligitstrawberry the awp shouldn't slow you down as the movement speed with an awp (unscoped) is 200 units, which is what your velocity is while carrying a hostage. Autosnipers are 215, M249 is 195, Negev is 150

@@J-IFWBR for banana u have 2 smokes and 2 molly as CT normally and u should only throw one smoke and one (or maybe two mollys) in the first 30sec of the round (depends on what the plan is), so u have one smoke and one molly for A-retake or when the Ts want to execute site. totally different to office

This map has a special place in my heart. In college I had a Sony laptop and would play CS:S nearly exclusively on Office. Looking back it seems quite barbaric, but at the time I had a ton of fun and learned to play CS (quite badly) on this map.

ca 1.6 was slightly better designed but only parts of it. i am happy it is still present to this day and we like to play it with kids. map is also very optimised it seems and hardly has any drops even on much older machines.

Fact : When carrying a hostage, your movement speed is the same with all weapons (primary, secondary, knife,etc)

It's actually slower when holding a Negev or the M249 I believe. Edit: Just tested it. Negev = 150 movespeed; M249 = 195; every other weapon = 200.

when carrying a hostage, your max speed is limited to 200, same speed as AWP. So just keep holding your gun when carrying a hostage

I’ve played mostly Office in my time on cs and I love it’s unique dynamic. You can’t replicate these games on other maps for better or for worse. When you’re in the mood, nothing satisfies like Office.

I'm not an office pro but I know the fundamentals but somehow whenever I play the map in GE none of my teammates seem to know how to play the map whilst the entire enemy team does. I keep telling my team, NO, you don't rush as T side, but they never listen :'(

@UCm6WDmRcmSXCxPjNMF11oTg thats the problem. nobody should be pushing through. the one who jumps/runs through the smoke is the one who'll be at a disadvantage. you see the enemy later than they will see you due to the grayscreen effect fading later than the model is visible. so anybody that pushes through basically suicides.

Once you learn the smokes you know where to prefire and the popflashes that let you run through the smokes. Once you are good enough sometimes rushing through the smokes works just as good as waiting. Cause that's when they are expecting you.

Agency is a way more interesting map to play than Office and it also has lots of people who only play it, so so called "agency mains". Also theres a lot more little tricks there to fully utilize when you have the knowledge against people who dont

Hey voo thank you for this video we really appreciate this, used to dominate 14-0 on T side and the enemy make a comeback after switch. Now the only strat working as CTs is a 5stack +forward no stop to paper room with mag 7 even through smokes we would trade kills and finish the round under 30 seconds it's pure chaos sometimes friendly fire kills but works 80% of the time

No joke Office is a very good map, I just like that the defense is centered around one place and the Ts can be forced to fight two fronts at the same time. The random spawns for hostage do break the game a little because if there is no hostage in the long hallway, the CTs have a much more difficult job.

the bug of being visible after picking up the hostage is probably because there is a bit of animation picking it up and they made that the animations aren't hidden through smokes, like they are a layer above the smoke

As an office enthusiast and only plays office, one biggest tips and tricks and I can give is you can use the windows to your advantage, there are many entries in the map where you must break the windows to enter the map. In a clutch situation you can break/shoot the windows to trick your opponents where you are going to navigate the map.

also, an info when you rescue the hostage whether you switch to knife or you stick with your weapon it's the same speed , so you better stick with your weapon when the enemy show up you would be ready.

Actually back in 2012-2015 it was common to see actual pro players in Office MM games. I was Global Elite and we played a lot of Office with friends and were pretty much matched with the same enemies all over again. A lot of German players to be specific, from n!faculty, Alternate aTTaX, PlanetKey Dynamics and way more. These were major attending teams back then. Some of them played regularly. Might have met the same pro player more than 15 times in different Office match, some of them even soloQ'd Office. That's dedication. The map was actually playable in the very beginning of CSGO as there were no molotovs.

Cs2 changed the way office comp is played by a lot now. You can knock soda machine over in kitchen and block it off the door now, cant pixel boost on the walls, fire hydrant cant be sat on, exit sign cant be jumped on, the smokes can be blown away now with nades. It definitely feels like a different map in an odd way. I still love office though

while escorting the hostage you are speed limited to 200 units/sec. so you run the same speed with all weapons except those that make you move slower than 200 units/sec. i.e. keep your primary out b/c its just as fast as knife out

on a great video on telling everyone what some things not to do on only the right staircase side after ct spawn, and to the hallways leading to the left most hostages from ct side (and right hallway corner of t spawn), and to such hallways containing the hostages.
