This video comes at a great time for me. And forgive me for taking any attention away from Chris' books, but I just finished reading "Terror of Demons - Reclaiming Traditional Catholic Masculinity" which is a fantastic pairing with this message. Ever since the 60's there has been this mantra of shaming men about strength and passion and pushed them to be softer, quieter. To even go so far as making this far too broad claim of "toxic masculinity" that isn't about real crossing the line, but about ANY aggressive behavior. Ironically enough, this messsage came at the same time more "superhero" women appear in movies shooting, fighting, killing... Isn't that something! Satan loves when the natural protector, the father, is shamed into stepping back instead of stepping forward. Satan loves when our families are left defensless. "Meek" does not mean "weak" or "passive". Meek referred to breaking stallions to become highly effective and powerful animals that have learned to focus all that energy and strength to a productive purpose. Meek people aren't weak. They are strong and know when and how to use that strength to a proper purpose.
