I think releasing it a month before CoD would have done worse for x defiant than a month after CoD. Because, like he said, people will still play cod even if its ass. But once people are reminded of it being ass this game can swoop in.

(i was on the 2 last beta of Xdef) nah xdefiant, in my opinion, is gonna get rolled on and forgot. of course COD is gonna take a huge chunk of the community (even if mw 3 dies 2 month later), and right now the fast paced FPS genre is getting a lot of competition with for example the finals (late 2023) and hyenas (somewhere in 2023). also i can give you games that were identical and died : - BRINKS (2011) a f2p fast paced objective-based FPS with classes and large weapon customization, developed by splash damage (batman arkham origins), no one ever heard of it and the game died (even though it was great) - Dirty Bomb (2015) a f2p fast paced objective-based FPS with classes and large weapon customization, developed by splash damage too, no one ever heard of it and the game died too the only way Xdefiant can survive is if the game gets a huge attention towards streamers (which will be on COD), or convert their already existing community (which mainly plays campaign driven games > farcry, watchdogs, splinter cell) to a PvP fast paced game imo the game wont last long, and i'd be surprised if i'm wrong

The amount of negativity ive seen about a potential 2 week delay is crazy. The xdefiant community will be fine. Can't wait to see the cod stans whine about the game two months after launch

People are spoiled and a great and free game is not good enough. Grow up and realize that this is not a problem. And if it is for you then go play that other game. That game will sh@t on you and dont give a d@mn about you. Salute to Mark Rubin and Crew 🫡 thanks for making arena shooter fun again 😎🎸

This exactly. Only company to kill cod is cod. XDefiant is making its own lane

@@PrevailArmy it’s funny to see Cod on their toes now, they got too comfy with no competition around. But yeah only cod can kill cod, bit competition is good for the players. But dont think cod will remove sbbm, so Xdefiant will my primary shooter going forward. Will probably only buy MW3 if i can get it used on disc for very cheap. Dont want to give them extra numbers for doing recycling work. Keep up the good work 👍
