I had a conversation with my 5 year old daughter…. Her friend goes to a non denominational church, they have a big kid’s ministry and lots of games and crafts while the adults listen to the pastor read scripture for an hour…. Anyway she loves it and really wants to go with him. We were praying to mary one night together and she asked me “why dont they have statues of mary at the kids church?” I looked at her seriously…. I said “they dont pray to mary or have statues of her at the kid’s church sweetheart, they say it’s bad to have pictures of anything but the cross.” She looked at me confused. “But i saw a statue of mary there! At christmas they had mary and baby jesus statues” I couldnt help but realize that my 4 year old realized the hypocrisy. “I said well i guess they figure its ok to have images and statues for christmas hahahaa but bad the rest of the year.” She goes “why?!” I said “i dont know sweetheart, it makes no sense. At least we have the statues of her at our church all year” she said “i like our church cause i love mary” i was so proud! I got a little catholic apologist on my hands fellas. I think she might be able to beat the Protestant in this video in a debate 😂

For me, it’s the fact that the Bible specifically says not to lean on our own understanding, but Protestants literally doctrinally preach leaning on their own understanding because they don’t believe that you should look to any authority to explain what the Bible is actually saying.

Me and my family got confirmed into the church this last July, best decision we ever made!

They act like baptism, Holy Eucharist listening and learning from the authority of Saints is MEN made yet they say just worship the Lord Jesus and you don’t need all these “acts” BUT Jesus Christ himself gave us the commandments to be baptised to receive his body and blood, gave Peter the authority over his church.

I think its that we are in a virtual time and many people do not take the time to read academic books. when I was in the MA program in Fordham, I encountered similar "ignorance" of classmate that refused to read the documents of the Church, or Theologians.

Saint Paul did not only write epistles to the churches, he taught the Holy Sacrifice to them also. So every time you read his letters, remember that he wrote them to churches that held the Holy Sacrifice of the mass.

Protestantism has changed indeed! Sola scriptura was redefined at least twice already. Their view of Mary and the saints have greatly regressed since Luther and Calvin. This is a rabid, ravenous protestantism we have now. Drunk in their corny worship songs and even cornier sermons.

I think as Christians we should remember we do not wrestle against flesh and blood. I find those titles about 'destoying' other people, especially brothers and sisters in Christ very distrurbing.

I had to throw away every picture of my mom today cause I just found that’s worshipping. I also had to tell the man that helped create me that I will now call him “man that helped my mom create me”. He said he “understood” I also had to go back to my highschool today and tell all the staff that used to educate me, that they aren’t allowed to be called teachers. I forgot to mention that baptism ? I wish you could tell this pastor to sit down. His name is pastor Jack Hibbs and he leads Calvary chapel chino hills church. They are nondenominational. 😪 He knows nothing about god. The scary part is that he has a mega church and a lot of people follow him. He has a lot to say about Catholics and saying we create false traditions and that we are a man made church. Because of him my boyfriend of 4 years left me. He told me that the only way to marry me is if I turn to his church stop being catholic or else we would be unequally yoked even though we both follow Christ. I’ve been trying to find a priest or someone that is willing to debate with this pastor Jack Hibbs. My boyfriend and his family even told me I would lose my salvation if I stay catholic. The pastors at this church won’t let anyone go and they even say things like “if you talk to a priest you will be mislead.” Please help me stop this monster who is pro war and is super political and leading people the wrong way. He denies Mary, infant baptism, and anything catholic. In my Catholic Church there is barely any people at the English mass. It’s all because of this pastor Jack Hibbs saying the worst about Catholics. I lost my boyfriend to this already and i know he won’t come back but i want to be able to at least stop this pastor from causing any further division. I’m sorry but my main dispute with Catholicism is in the “infallibility” of the pope. Peter Was Fallible. He was wrong. He believed gentiles needed to get circumcised as well as other members in the Jerusalem council. It was Paul that had to prove him wrong. If Peter was infallible he would not have made that mistake.

Jesus left the church for US - anybody who rejects the church of Christ , will have difficulty doing what Jesus wants not the least of which is to be United in the body of Christ.
