Instructions on how to switch to the PTS Server:
How to connect to the Public Test Server (PTS):
- Right-click Deadside in your Steam library; click on Properties…
- Choose BETAS, then select the “public_test_server - PTS” branch from the drop-down menu.
- Wait for the update to download and launch the game.
- Connect to one of the available official PTS servers, which depends on your location.
How to switch back to the live version of the game:
- Right-click Deadside in your Steam library, then click on Properties…
- Choose BETAS, then select the “None” branch from the drop-down menu.
- Wait for an update to download and launch the game.
- Connect to one of the available official live servers depending on your location.

From the team over at Bad Pixel, developers of Deadside. "This map expansion is a two part process; first we added the large city, which is in this update, and in a future update, the rest of the expanded area outside of Kamensk will be populated with more structures and POIs. For now though, enjoy the new city, the art team worked very hard on it."

The thing i don´t like about Deadside is the weather. Game is GREAT and the progress is AWESOME to see! But it´s always sunshine godamnit ahah. Devs, can we get some gloomy weather over this city? Some rain, some clouds some fog? :)

I will let the devs know that if you don't get raind or fog, you will riot... lol. In all seriousness, weather effects are greatly needed, and I believe it's on the list. Don't quote me though.

is it alway day? no night? i just asked the same.. something is off with the light. yeah.. some fog. or just a bit darker.. make it more Fallout-like ;-)

Just got this game and played with 2 friends this weekend. It's fun and has a lot of potential, but we thought the movements and animations felt clunky and janky. I think they need to smooth out and polish the graphics and controls a little bit. A few tweaks and more content (NOT bigger map but more content within the same map size) would make this game AMAZING! I wonder if Devs plan on adding PRONE position. I think that's a vital moveset in games like this...

Prone is planned and currently being implemented soon. More content for sure, and they are also working on Vehicles such as cars, since boats are already in. Glad you and your friends has fun, and welcome to Deadside.

Yes pls another series. And ye ur right. The city looks too clean. Also they should add something similar to to the Chemical factory next to it. Something like Azovstal. That would fit perfect

Definitely will look into it, and yeah, they did want people to know, which I forgot to put in the video, this is a two part update. One for the city, two for points of interest around it.

Yes, there is a changing day/night cycle, and admins can make it night by changing the in game time.

No, you are allowed to showcase PTS footage. But I was able to get it ahead of time in the CTS.

They already have a better base building system and raid system, with C4 explosives and everything...

Only online, correct.@@OverloadPlays They need to drop a raid token after you kill them, then you have an hour to raid, (or whatever the time has been set in the server by the admins.)

Eh, it's a good system, since I also enjoy online raids more than offline. Gives gamers a chance to defend, instead of spending all this time making a base, just for it to get destroyed. It's a more casual system.@@OverloadPlays

They are still working and tweaking, but this is directly from this update for the PTS server. "AI will no longer strafe and shoot at the same time, and their movement is generally less erratic and more fair."

It's definitely not the best game right now, still in development. Just keep being patient and check up here and there. Plenty more coming down the pipeline.
