I would cut the top of the plinth free to make it a box and mold and cast that as well, and maybe drill random holes in the skull for pencils, tools, etc. Maybe even include accessory pieces, like mice, rats, fungi, vines, rodent skulls as upsells in the product line. Sell as add ons. And Thank You for respecting the 3d pattern terms. Too many people don't.

This really is a genius idea for taking to craft fairs! I've discovered that not only other crafters at the fair are "window shopping" my booth for ideas to make their own, but many customers are too. Providing them with a "make and take" or DIY kit is brilliant! This has given me some fun ideas for the Resincrete kit! But the tool I'm most excited to see is the scraper! Yes, the scraper! I have a mini one the size of a business card that was given out as a promotional gift from a company that has since gone out of business. But since it was a promotional item, like a pen or magnet, I had no idea what it was called to be able to get more! The scrapers are great for working with precious metal clay or pottery for chopping bits of dry clay to make slip, or smooshing it into a paste. It's also my go-to tool for cleaning my work surface and gathering every last crumb or bit of dust from precious metal clay into my slip pot too! My mind is always spinning with ideas after watching your videos. 🙂

I said it on your last video, but, Resincrete is excellent stuff. It’s SO easy to work with, surprisingly strong, and paintable… I just wish I had more projects to use it for. I mostly use epoxy resin for inlays on CNC projects. I pour my leftover resin in molds…. But, seeing how easily you carved this, I might do the same and make molds.

Used to make original plugs with polymer clay and plaster. Painfully learnt 3d software and send out to get printed. 3d software I learnt doesn't do surfaces well or at all. Probably put surface on after.

Absolutely brilliant!!!!! You are so creative!!!! Since you have a 3D printer, you could make your own design and print it … could add all sorts of neat little embellishments on it as well like spiders, snakes etc… However, most people do not have a 3D printer or the ability to create the graphics to make the svg file needed… so, showing us how to make one of these the old fashioned way is most appreciated!!! ❤❤

What if you take a couple of the kits you used for making the hand molds with you to a craft fare, and you take your resin crete with you, then you make it for people right there on the spot. I think you will have some good sales on that as well. The people can then go paint it themselves at home themselves.

This is a great idea! The stand looks even better than the 3d printed one. I ordered some silicone to make my own moulds, and more resin, yesterday. It is sort of a blessing we don't have Prime shipping in Finland, it keeps me in control to know it'll take a few days for my Amazon delivery to get here. 😂

Great question. I tried with it. POP is far softer than what I used when it is cured. fully it doesn’t have the same feel. It also doesn’t give a strong a mould and doesn’t paint as well.
