I had the square version of this driver and I loved it. Call me crazy but I loved the sound of this and the 5900 both!!!!! The first square nike driver sounded awful but all the ones since, and I may be on an island here, but I loved the sound!!!!Love these retros Al!!!

Longest drive I ever hit was with the SQ driver. That AxivCore shaft is a monster. Hit it 299 yards (measured by SkyCaddie) Of course it was in Colorado, with a 10 mph tailwind, but still... 😁

So fun thing: Know Your Enemy by Green Day is from the album 21st Century breakdown, from which I got my first dance song with my wife. Our first dance was to Last Night on Earth. I recently looked it up to make sure that I didn’t misinterpret the lyrics and Shernoff. It was the song Billie Joe Armstrong wrote that was specifically an “unapologetic love song” for his wife and only his wife.

Love the retro reviews and that driver was a real stinker! I have a Cobra S9-1 Pro D with an X-Flex EI-70 Tour shaft in it tipped 3/4". Would you like to try that for a retro review?

Shame, it looked so awesome... Hey Al, would love to see a review of the Lynx Super Predator Stainless Steel Driver from 80s. Head the size of a boiled egg but used to work great. Maybe it was just youthful enthusiasm.

My first driver ever it wasn’t the adjustable model it got me around the course but gladly smacked the m6 over 300 once I got a hand me down the spin rates in a regular shaft I was swinging 3 hybrid farther at times

I tried a sumo. It went really high but straight. I got a head with the lowest loft and it was a beast. I still do it now. My current driver is an m2, loft to 7.5 but weight as far back as possible

How about the coal in the chute. You know like coal and diamonds are both carbon. And the coal goes down the chute to basement to never be seen again and burned? Or is that too harsh? Nope hide it and burn it. It was ugly too. Sad to say, I had the square one….. until I could afford another one. Taylormade ever since. R11, R15, M1, and now M5. I’ve tried newer, but can’t beat my M5. Good video. My pick for retro review: the Pod.
