For the soldiers unassigning themselves after clearing encirclements: assgin them to a FM order and once it's cleared they'll go back to the main line

My friend and I actually defeated the Soviet Union in June 45'. After we pushed them behind the Dnipro in the first months of war and being stuck for a several more before Moscow, Leningrad and Kiev, their Industry was so cucked, although they kept up again in 44', but well, they overstacked and got memed entirely. Since we were always out of equipment 10 Tank Divisions hat to do the job. Good Video

Yeah I noticed that they would overstack a lot as well! It's those early pushes that matter so much, but kodus for managing to win so late in the game after s many of their buffs!

i just finished a 2 day run of this mod i decided to do the longhaul and build up for a 1970 rushdown of the ussr and just sat in a defensive war with forts and 21 width inf from 1941 onward and lord it was a meatgrinder lol eventually stole enough of their medium tanks to fill front with medium tanks annexed the other nations into me so i could build more forts and have a larger front finland collapsed near instantly and the rest of eastern front stabilized then i just sat there nuking their airports till 1961 and nuking their armies to do small scale attacks ended up killing 100 million men and they ran out of manpower around the 98 mill dead mark in 1961 then just ran them over and kept nuking them :3 also ended up doing super heavys instead of modern tanks cuz funny never built a single medium but stole them from ussr with maintenance companies and made my super heavy tank division which was my 42 width medium with 2 batalions of super heavys

built forts and sit there, and yeah the buffs that they get from the time passing the last one ends somewhere around 1969-1970 so the plan was to outwait but they ran out of manpower a decade early aka 1960-1961 also at some point they got alaska from demanding it from the neutral rest of the planet country lol so they had alaska also nuking them removes all of their war support so you only need to take moscow and leningrad and just be at the outskirts of stalingrad for them to cap with no collab gov@@Aldrahill

the end goal was 1970 cuz then they would be demobalizing but wasnt even needed lol only 106 million manpower aslong as you keep their war support low enough via nuking @@Aldrahill

the soviets should fall apart relatively easily as they did historically the problem with hoi4 is the ai just can not recover from major losses and usually just keels over and dies after losing 30% army strength.

I genuinely did not find the mod all too hard. Didnt get the fuhrer objectives tho. I got stuck on a wall of t34s 4 div deep in every single provinces in 1942 but i was already at or past leningrad-moscow-stalingrad... it was just pushing to the AA line to win.... The real issue is logistics, you start with 1936 starter rail and infrastructure and lose tons to attrition just assigning armies to the border initially. I built up the berlin- poland rail to 3 and the bucarest-bessarabia rail to 4, keeping it to that level as i pushed and never had supply issues. Also capturing soviet supply hubs is n1 priority. Let them attrition while pushing other fronts.

Building up the infra and rails is definitely the right call, I think I did that way too late tbh . Plus built too many planes!
