Why did you caulk the desk to the wall lol
@ArtyAntics
@ArtyAntics Жыл бұрын
It stops dust accumulating in the crevices and gives it a professional finish. It also hides where the walls may not be straight.
@SquirrelKilnBTS
@SquirrelKilnBTS Жыл бұрын
What the above person said, she also mentions wanting the piece to look naturally built in despite not being so. The caulk adds some protection to dust etc while also being an easy to remove material if the homeowners decide to remove the desk.

Strange Q, since that’s exactly what I’ve seen every professional do in the projects I’ve worked on. The main reason is that you’ll notice it at some point when it’s not been done.

IKEA has just been caught red handed sourcing virgin forest wood illegally. They will pay a fine and that will be the end of it. I find that disgusting and disappointing. If we all stopped buying there stuff and forced them to change their wood source we could make a huge impact.

That was two years ago, only from one leader of IKEA in one country, specifically about children furniture and IKEA doesn't even cut their wood themselves, it was their contractor who along with others has been long fired. Also the main reason people use IKEA is because it's the only thing they can afford.
