HOWEVER, recently, those "indigenous/native" Manipuri Kukis started importing more and more of their kind and NOW they've started claiming this land as theirs. The British intentionally and wilfully trifurcated the Kuki-Zo-Chin's ORIGINAL HOMELAND aka Chin hills/state of 🇲🇲 + Chittagong hill tracts of 🇧🇩 + Lushai hills aka Mizoram of 🇮🇳, politically between and amongst those 3 countries (🇲🇲 🇧🇩 🇮🇳), as a retribution for their failed uprising/revolt/rebellion (1917-19) NOT anglo-kuki war (instigated by Sanajaoba, a meitei, to overthrow Maharaj Churachand, a meitei king, by promising reduced house taxes) against the British's policy (for recruitment of kukis as laborers/porters under manipur labor corps) during WW1 (1914-18).
