the holographic fishes are actually sparkle's power when those show up it means you're under her illusion so what acheron did at the end was she basically shattered her illusion with just one swing

she swung her sword only once casually after unsheathing it and the whole illusion world shatters, before that all her sword swings were with her sheathed sword

@@georgieegames She definitely is! I think she's the strongest character released lore-wise so far apart from Welt. Welt is probably the only one who'd have a fighting chance against her if they fought.

@@zm6947 maybe when welt was a hersher but i highly doubt he would be strong enough to match acheron as he is now. as eminators are basically star rails version of hershers and welt is nowhere near as strong as a hersher as he couldnt even come close to unlocking hersher of reasons full power

@@vetreas366 I think the JP dub has Miyuki Sawashiro voicing that part since it's supposed to be her past self talking but in the EN dub I think its Robin's VA Alice Homura talking since Robin's the one speaking in the actual ad?

We like to talk about how absolutely OP Acheron is in being able to figure out she's under an illusion and cutting it down in one slice, but can we talk about how Sparkle's illusion was SO strong that Acheron decided that she needed to use her sword in the first place? The Nameless gang are either WAY in over our heads with this one, or Himeko and Welt are MUCH stronger than we've seen from them so far.

I mean its not like Acheron's ult is her last last resort. She just casually uses it. She doesn't have any drawbacks to using her sword.

i mean acheron has not been proven to be evil just that she is dangerously powerful and aint no way welt can match her given the fact he is no longer a hersher and even when he was he couldnt unlock its full power. even in 2.1 based on trailer she seems to be helping himeko, welt and the gang

@@albiflora Yeah, but we see from the Penacony fights in general that Acheron doesn't really unsheathes her sword unless she deems you strong enough to need it unsheathed.

@@MrBentalton777 yeah but like without Acheron and Black Swan helping us, it feels like we would be getting played like a fiddle in every corner we turn since the sheer combat power of the people who wants to play with us and throw us away without a second glance (adventurine and sparkle) are fairly high leveled

@@oopsididitagain2077 i never said anything against black swan and acheron being more powerful than the gang as whether or not black swan is, is debatable but acheron however well its clear she is much stronger than probably everyone in penacony combined lol. and based on the trailer it seems acheron was fixing to manhandle adventurine lol helping the gang out. im curious though if that will be the first time in the story the gang will witness her power as we still have 2 more patches after this one before penacony arc is over so makes me wonder who the true big bad for the arc will end up being.

1:17 It's very subtle but under her umbrella it Says "Self-Annihilator", Self-Annihilators are one of the factions that are a part of IX the Nihility. "Self-Annihilators are a group that lost their meaning of existence when they carelessly stepped into IX the Nihility's shadow. The shadow of the Nihility covers the stars equally, and Self-Annihilators may form in any world. These poor souls share one thing in common: Their various existential properties - such as corporeal body, mental cognition, and personal memories... will gradually fade away in their journey of self-annihilation." to summarize from my understandng, IX can't notice someone as they already believe that everything is meaningless. for example, you go into deep depression, you're basically in IX's shadow, which is the equivalent of IX noticing you. you either lose your mind and die or slowly lose something (sometimes more than one) until you completely lose it too (eg. acheron's memories) doctors of chaos are also something related to this

@@aceoffires1032 From what i garnered from the PomPom post about Emanators. its most of them either join the doctors of chaos that try to like... find a "cure" and some try to remove it by force? (instead of treating the effected, they try to remove the source) But i might be misinterpreting or misremembering. I think all Nilhility Emanators being against their Aeon would be kinda fitting. because the path of Nihility is to reach non-existance. so in a way... IX needs to "die" in order to fully become nihility. And since alot of them become Emanators kinda against their will... it does seem logical for them to try and end their own suffering caused by Nihility.

@@aceoffires1032 From what I understand, when IX's shadow 'notices' you you have two possible results: if you find interest in IX (or possibly something else) you become a Doctor of Chaos: still in IX's shadow, but trying to do something- which shouldn't take you out of its shadow, since IX believes *everything* is meaningless. But if you fail to find the strength to go on, you become a Self-Annihilator and start wasting away... Although the wiki says some SA do help the Doctors, so I may be wrong?

Allegra clark's voice for Acheron is amazing, (she is va of Beidou in Genshin impact too) Hoyoverse went all out for this trailer. I think Acheron is something more than a Galaxy Ranger, sure we already know she is an.... (i will not say it because i don't wanna spoil anything to you) I hope she doesn't become some kind of antagonist. Sure i can imagine her as an anti hero but please no antagonist

They can't keep getting away with this, its too damn good! Like how do they keep improving these trailers?? I've wanted her from the beginning but if I initially didn't, these Acheron videos would have converted me. I think this is my favorite they have done. Its BEAUTIFUL but also I think the one with the most lore in it that isn't a Myriad Celestia trailer and I adore that aspect of this. "Find me" WHO ARE YOU? 11/10, the hype during the live stream for these was well deserved. I'm pretty deep into pity on the light cone banner because I was trying to get Sparkle's LC and then figured I'd just wait and put it towards Acheron's, but the character banner...good thing I have like 120 pulls ready, and then I'd still need to win 😅Good luck to everyone pulling, may we all win our 50/50s 🙏 Also I may have briefly died because my two favorite lightning nihility sword wielding mommies (redacted) were on screen together lmao

well the actual person in the ad is robin(you can see the wings at the end) but for the majority of the video it's raiden mei(red horns) so she's probably the one saying find me

in the splashart at 1:18 you can juuust make out "Self Annihilator" in the bottom right, which is a title for some of the Emanators of IX, the aeon of Nihility they destroy part of themselves until they eventually burn themselves out which part that is for Acheron you'll likely catch on to when you meet her

3:28 so, basically this ad of cosmetics made Acheron to remember something from time before she became eminator. Sparkle decided to mess with her during that time. So this : "find me, your origin" is basically her past self wanting her to find what she forgot.

This trailer was definitely one of the best! I’m interested on the fact that they keep mentioning the Origin and the End (Finality) since Acheron was the wielder of the Blade of Origin, now she is supposed to find her End... Excited to see how it ties to the story! 1:19 Also, something I noticed, in the bottom right corner, there is a subtle title saying Self-Annihilator. Acheron is a Self-Annihilator

I was originally going to skip Sparkle for Acheron, but after trying her she was just too useful. I don't exactly regret pulling Sparkle, she made my team a lot more powerful and helped me clear some content I was having trouble with, but I did go to full pity on her and don't really have anything saved up for Acheron now...

I think it's not a spoiler at all to say that now her name makes perfect sense to me. The River Acheron is the way to the Underworld in Greek myth that souls travel on, and since they chose that name there's every possibility when she says "Don't look back" that Orpheus and Euridice's story may be relevant to her story, and a black hole isn't totally unlike the inescapable Underworld

You should watch the japanese dub of the trailer and you WILL KNOW who that is. minor spoiler: That is The Maiden doing an ad for make up, before she got the blade of Howl. In the JP dub you clearly hear that she sounds like Mei from Hi3rd and in her previous short Myriad Celestia (they share the same voice actor). While Acheron sounds deeper, cooler and emotionless. Personally I think Acheron is trying to remember who she was, all the while she's destroying her own memories.

to be fair though just like hershers vary in strength so to do emanators vary in strength. i imagine acheron wont be the only playable emanator and also that she is nowhere near the strongest.

The girl saying "find me" is most likely her past self, asking her to find who she was before becoming Acheron, but the current Acheron like she says in the trailer is moving forward without looking at the past.

@@MrBentalton777 well so far she had 2 hours of screen time, a segment in the 2.1 stream and 3 trailers. Despite all that she has zero personality soul. Even when the devs talked about her it was all about how she looks like Mei and how nostalgic it is to see her. Acheron so far is not a character it’s just a name.

@@iforgot4837 she isnt suppose to have personality she is suppose to be a "dead" character in terms of emotion as would anyone had they experienced what she experienced having her whole world destroyed and all. also if you saw her myriad trailer she is very much a parallel mei so much so that people are speculating that what happened to her is a what if she didnt have kiana or if kiana died situation to keep her stable. acheron was never about simply looking like mei its about her having a STRONG CONNECTION to mei which the devs said before we gotr all her traiilers and now that we have her trailers its very clear that she is mei from another world not just a look alike

@@MrBentalton777 Even characters that are dead inside have at least something to show for Acheron has nothing. I will give you an example of what I mean. If you replace Acheron with any other Expy of HI3rd in the story, 2.1 stream or in her trailers do they not work anymore ? The only one that would be slightly off would be the Myriad celestia but even that is only because we could see her. The trailer would have for worked just as well from a third party perspective. Acheron was not necessary for that trailer. Every other mention of Acheron could have been replaced with any other character. This doesn’t apply to any other character in the game

@@iforgot4837 thats not true at all it depends on the person some have literally 0 emotion even autistic people for that matter(i know as i have autism) struggle with showing any form of emotion let alone trauma as well. also acheron is very important to the story so no she could not have been replaced just because you personally dont like an emotionless character does not make her any less important and also by your statement shows you dont know what trauma or other mental issues can do to someones emotions. the way acheron is, is literally what happens when you have experienced severe trauma that would make anyone numb to anything and everything.
