Bro, your tutorials saved me at practice today. I’m new to our church, never been in a band or worship team and I got the music less than 24 hours before practice. I didn’t have much time to familiarize. I’ve played guitar a long time, but I always sit and stew over a song, chew on it a while. And today was my second practice, I went last week too but spent the whole practice lost. But with your tutorials, I wasn’t lost at all and was able to try out some ideas I was thinking about. Worked out great! So anyway, thanks :)

Similar story here. I’m about to start playing with our team. God bless!

@@kerrybishop3563 That’s awesome! Once you find your niche on the team and start to be comfortable in it, you grow so fast! It’s awesome! I’ve been playing every Sunday since I posted this comment and it’s been fun and I love serving a wonderful God. There is sometimes an energy that floods the sanctuary and moves us all, and I generally assume this is the Holy Spirit. Many songs I’ve learned well enough that I don’t need the music in front of me and I can think about doing things in a different way, like use a different voicing to create texture or flair. Or picking out a section of the song where we hadn’t done so before and making an old song sound fresh in some way. Now... if only I can get my singing straightened out lol

Could you have a URL to were I can download the chords and lyrics you use? From the videos
@tommo2599 жыл бұрын
i like your chords and they are easy to play, but the song is still quite high for me. can you or any of your fans suggest chords that i could use which is a little lower yet? using G,C,Em, D on fret 3 and sing in a lower octave feels to low. thanks.

is it possible to play a guitar song that's already been written in a different Arrangement (it's a yes or no question)
@Whatsjonosaying5 жыл бұрын
It depends on what your question actually is... But in short, yes. If the song is in a different tuning, yes, but it may not sound the same as the original. If it's in different key, definitely yes.

Okay, Mr.brian, you're playing the song in the Key of A, but you're tuned to Standard tuning correct
@syrnobody14157 жыл бұрын
if that even makes sense, im a beginner
@naomiwilliams8277 жыл бұрын
You can play in the key of A in standard tuning without a capo. An A chord is the third, fourth and fifth string all pressed down on the second fret. Good luck, and hope this helps! :)

Hi Victoria - actually the Phil Wickham version (on his Ascension album) is in the key of Bb. I'm teaching in this video how to play it in the key of A. Really, though, you can play it in whatever key fits your voice best.

Jeremy Riddle co-wrote it along with Phil Wickham and Josh Farro. Josh Farro used to play guitar for Paramore, actually. I think the Bethel version (Jeremy Riddle) is pretty cool, but I really dig the Phil Wickham version - to each their own. It's all a matter of personal opinion, though :)
