This IS BAD NEWS For Ford Maverick Owners!

This is bad news for Ford Maverick owners.
The Maverick has seen a lot of competition in recent times from Huyndai, Toyota, GM, and even Subaru. They all want to capitalize on its shortcomings and take over the market. But while the blue oval execs have been focusing on that, their own truck might have been their actual downfall.
Just look at the early buyers left with trucks that are hard to get and somehow not worth it. Let me explain.

I dont tow nor off road...but love being able to use this truck for yardwork or luggin my bike....so its perfect truck for me!❤

The Maverick is a great little truck, I don’t think anyone that purchases a Maverick thinks they are getting a full size pickup truck designed for contractors or towing fifth wheel trailers.

I think many people need a bigger bed instead of the back seat. I was excited to learn about the then future Maverick only to find it's a compact SUV with an open air trunk. Useless for carrying things.

There is no lack of power in engines. Everyone loves them and they have almost as much power as the ford ranger, but since they are also smaller and lighter, it works better with the maverick.

The infotainment center has apple/android auto, it works for 90% of most peoples needs. The part about not enough storage options is complete hog-wash, this truck is packed with storage options both in cab, and in the bed, you have tons of under seat storage in the back, and plenty of pockets etc in the front. The bed of the truck even has 2 storage compartments built in, and the ability to easily put in 2x4s/2x6s to maximize compartments. I've test drove one, don't even own one (yet). I don't think people that are doing contracting work are even looking at this truck (although, I can see it handling light construction/contracting/gardening work rather well, but you'd have to be buying a truck to fit your needs).

I don’t give a hoot about the infotainment system. I’m still waiting for a simple rugged and reliable small truck with a full size bed. This isn’t it. Hopefully the proposed Subaru, Chevy or Toyota small trucks will answer that need. A manual transmission would also be a game changer for me. Years ago I drove a Chevy S10 work truck that was basic and simple, with sticker shift and full size bed. Waiting for its reincarnation to appear.

Same but auto transmission. 230+ thousand miles, long ass bed, decent mpg and loaded. That 2.2L was pretty good for me.

Right. The Maverick's trunk-sized bed makes it useless. I don't need back seats. I need a full sized bed.

FWD cuz cheaper than RWD, better gas mileage and simpler than RWD. Plus more traction in the front when not towing or hauling. Though I am very happy with the AWD version.

Seems like just a hit job on the Maverick. It is incorrectly stated over and over again that the Maverick only comes in Front Wheel Drive. I guess that comes as a surprise to all the AWD Maverick owners! After all kinds of unsupported issues leveled against the Maverick, it goes into swooning support of Hyundai Santa Cruz and GM Montana...really?

20k was for an xl i got my lariet in december 21 i paid 32k all im missing is awd and a sunroof

I don't need nor want anything fancy in a truck. Just make a truck with a V8 4x4 and a manual transmission. Keep it basic, plane, simple, and affordable for average blue collar hard working people. That's what we want.
