I'm so glad you watched this video it's a bit old but it's still a great breakdown of who BTS are. A lot of ARMYs become dedicated to BTS because of their powerful lyrics and positive messages. BTS are also extremely funny guys and they make us laugh all the time with their variety shows and travel shows (Run BTS, Bon Voyage, In the SOOP). They also live stream with us often individually and as a group. Another great video about BTS is called BTS Member Introduction by Taylor Nakamoto, it's 40 mins long but we will watch it all because we love long videos ^^

Fellow Aussie here, I found BTS when they released Dynamite and finally got played on the radio. I heard them in the car and needed to know who sung the song because they were unfamiliar. Within a couple of days I think I had watched over 100 videos and was hooked. The members themselves are incredible, ridiculously talented but very down to earth and humble. The appreciation and interaction with ARMY is like nothing I've seen before and it's amazing to see them just goof off and have fun solely to make content for ARMY to enjoy. The music speaks for itself, they have such a diverse and impressive discography and lyrically they are incomparable imo. Enjoy your discovery

G'day Mate! I really loved your reaction. Thank you for being curious and openminded. Sure they have elements that are boyband-esk, but they so much more than that too. I think a lot of us ARMYs tend to get iffy about the terms "boyband" and "kpop" bc a) it has had a negative connotation for a long time, expecting basic lyrics and no involvement in the music (which is not the case for BTS) and b) the term boyband doesn't really do them justice bc they do so much more and many different genres (and don't even get me started on their raps) which is far from the common conception of boybands) and c) kpop is not really a genre, but an industry - which BTS did grow up in/start out as, but has especially in the later years as they've grown gone away from more and more. So they are a boyband, but they aren't. And they are kpop, but they aren't. You'll see down the line. The point is that there's so much great music to discover - and some of it will probably be a type/genre that you wouldn't have thought you'd enjoy, but somehow the way they do it, you'll end up loving it (that was my experience at least. I usually listen to jazz, blues and funk. Some oldschool rock) - however, with BTS... I LOVE IT ALL, and they've opened music up for me to be more than just what I enjoy to hear, and become more like a holistic experience of diving in to lyrics, the hidden meanings, the album story build ups, the music videos meaning, eastereggs, big dance performances, watching their other content. And they constantly mix genres and sounds that has previously not been "allowed" in the West and they make it work. So when Time's Magazine is writing how they and their company HYBE is rewriting music history, I believe them. I've never spend so much time looking into asian culture (and particularly South Korea) and cuisine. I'm learning so much through BTS - honestly. They are a big part of why the world is becoming less "America"/"West" focused and looking more at the entire world. Becoming the first non-English acts to be the top consumed act in the world (according to IFPI). They're moving boundaries and paradigms, and I'm so here for it! Love from Denmark

Great reaction! Once people understand what BTS and ARMY stands for they realise why they are so big. People who refuse to dig deeper to try and understand will never appreciate them and this is where you find the dismissive attitudes of people who just want to remain ignorant. Keep up the great reactions, I am enjoying your fall into the rabbit hole :)

The sole reason i stick with BTS was their story and personality. I was never into KPOP, maybe until now? The only kpop group i really admire is BTS. 💜 I'm 31 but this is yhe 1st yime i really fell in love with a band, like you know the feeling of being a real fan of someone. I never bought any albums in my entire life or any merch. But i did for BTS. my daughter who's 6 is also a fan. And BTS is one of the best shared connectionwe have. And i taught her the meaning behind their songs. I always get emotionL when it comes to these boys. They grew up humble and hardworking. If you follow their growth through their variety shows like ru. Bts, bon voyage and in the soop, you'll have this feeling that the boys who slept in 1 bedroom apartment are still the same men now who are living in a million dollar townhouse. Same men, just richer and more famous. They are still those crackhead trainees, only 10yrs older. 💜💖 Ps: SUBBED!

another Kpop group that you will like is Mamamoo. Vocal Queens and they have the same personalities as BTS(crackheads, humble, hardworking, etc). Jin and 1 member of Mamamoo are friends. if you don't know Mamamoo i'll recommend to watch Mamamoo Killing Voice and Mamamoo Immortal Songs Medley. Killing Voice is a live medley with their title tracks from their debut until their most recent one. if you've watch BTS Room Live its similar. and all members of Mamamoo do solo projects. they're the only female group where all members do solo.

Yay! You know I'm an older person and just found BTS in May 2021. I am hooked big time and way down the rabbit hole. About the names, another good one to watch is Introduction to the 7 members of BTS by Ida S. It will help you start to get to know them individually. When I first started with BTS, I kept getting V and Jungkook confused, but now I can both see and hear the difference and know all their unique styles and voices. Three rappers, Four Vocalists. I just love them, and I was never into "boy bands" in the past either. I also don't classify them as just "K-Pop" even though that was their start. They cover so many genres. One of the things, I think, that I love about BTS is their lyrics. Songs in the US these days all sound the same to me and all have the same love/hate relationship type stuff. I'm not saying BTS songs don't ever include that, but they word things so poetically and beautifully. That draws me in, as well as their personalities, the hard work they put in and continue to put in, and their talents.

Being a fan of all 3 I love to see this! keep up the great work, you're one of my fav reactors! There is so much material to go through when it comes to BTS...there's also a whole storyline to their videos, called the BU or Bangtan/BTS Universe, to understand it is hard as you must watch their MVs in a certain order but XCELESTE is one of my fave BTS reactors and has many great videos explaining the background and history of BTS amongst many others! Some good songs would be Magic Shop, Spring Day, We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal, Life Goes On, Butter, Blood Sweat, & Tears......I mean I could go on and on lol. Anything by BTS is great, even all the solo songs too!

I would like to clear up a small misunderstanding regarding bundling. Bundling means that you are automatically buying an album and thus increasing album sales numbers when you buy other merchandise from an artist or group. This includes things like concert tickets as well. When you buy an album directly from the artist label it is not part of a bundle. BTS sales numbers are from direct sales without bundles which is completely unheard of. They are committed to fair play and not 'gaming' the system.

Who is BTS by Ida s is a good guide that gives some info and back story about each member and shows some clips of what they’re known for on and off stage… it’s a good one to get to know the boys more as people … I think you’ll love it. There’s a docuseries called “rise of bangtan” which was created by some army and took like 4 years to make lol it’s like a chronological explanation of the kpop industry which we in the west have no clue how different that industry is lol this opened my eyes and it makes bts even more special than they already are bc of what they’ve dealt with… it has old videos behind the scenes and clips of baby bts but breaks down the important core concepts that have set BTS on a totally different level than other groups of this time. It’s so high quality and each episode is like 40-50 minutes and they have separate “bonus content” episodes that are like 10-15 min for each … I think there’s like 18 episodes right now and it’s just on KZfaq… i think you would love learning through “rise of bangtan” and you would get to see where they came from and how much they’ve grown.. but how special they are has always been there for them… and why they’re so so special on and off stage 💜

I really liked your reaction to this video! The journey is long, the production of BTS is amazing, especially because of the way their team has worked. With their concept albums, video filming work, full of artistic references (films, books, works of art, etc etc), and music influenced by various styles, combined with their own culture. It all adds up to the hard work and particular talent of each of them. You can start wherever you want, but maybe also watch another video about the introduction to each of the members to identify what this group is about and its synergy (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l5adkrGgksXKd6s.html) Nice to meet you channel! Here is the first episode kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h95xoM5y3K-plY0.html I wish you a lot of fun on your BTS & ARMY journey.💜
