This song is Dimash’s calling card. This song S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse/ SOS from an earthling in distress is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears. This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer). The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. As a singer or artist he might not be what most people like but he is definitely the best vocalist alive on this planet right now. Dimash has been professionally trained since the age of 5. He has 2 masters degrees in classical and contemporary musical and is pursuing his Phd.
