After Lucy watched the first Rambo movie (First Blood) we decided to check out the second one. This one is a first for both of us... It has quite a different feel than the first one.

In guerilla warfare you want to disrupt supply lines like, fuel, food, ammunition and weapons so the enemy feels the fear of what is soon to come. Then add "shock and aw" of what seems like an unbeatable force with overpowering force and the fear destroys your enemy's will to fight or fight effectively.

I used to compete in Bowhunter archery tournaments as well as NCAA, National Field Archery Association, tournament back in the 80s and 90s. When the Rambo movie came out so did a bow by Hoyt called the Rambo. It became one of the most popular bows among the Bowhunter class.

I bet! Never tried archery, but have to say that I've always admired it. Such a display of skill. Lucy has tried it though xD I think

@@ptthatswhatshesaid Today's bows look like something out of Star Wars. Archery with these bows is not too hard to master. You could probably learn to shoot relatively well within a couple of days. The hardest type of bow to learn to shoot is the Long Bow; simply put it's the type you see in Robinhood movies. The modern-space age compound bows are fairly easy to shoot accurately. One of the greatest archers to ever live is Howard Hill. KZfaq may have some of his short films. He did all the fancy archery in the 1938 ROBINHOOD movie starring Errol Flynn and Olivia D'Havilin. It's a classic.

Shooting bows is quite simple to learn. At least for just still target practice. Incredible easy to get. Went to summer camp, messed up the first time I tried to fire. From there on out I was on or near dead center every time. Years later was a counselor at a camp. Again very simple for still targets. Beat their "trained archer". Actually hunting I'm sure is a whole different animal.

1st try was mid 90s. 2nd time was about 10 years later. Just standard bow & arrow. No rambo bow.

1. IMVHO this is best of the bunch. 2. The Soviet Commander/Steven Burkoff also played the heavy in "Beverly Hills Cop". 3. There's a must watch/share with Sly and Kurt Russell called "Tango and Cash" where a cop says to Tango and says, "He thinks he's Rambo." Tango/Stallone says, "Rambo, is a pussy" 4. Charles Napier/Murdock😇also played Lt. Boyle in "Silence of the Lambs." 5. Co/Julia Nickson could get it. She tries too hard on that accent though. 6. Movie magic: The helicopter doesn't catch on fire from the mistle backfire. 7. I'd be pissed too if I were being set up for failure.

4. Yes! I remember him! Hannibal wasn't as merciful as Rambo to him in that film 😅

It is very interesting that many people who have never been in military much less Special Forces action outside the wire think they know what is or is not possible or realistic. Both of you really enjoyed Airplane and i highly recommend at some time you watch Airplane 2. I think it's even funnier then the first. Another movie i would suggest is Another 48 Hours starring Eddy Murphy and Nick Nolty. Now this is a sequel but i do not recommend the first movie 48 Hours. Some consider the sequel to be a soft remake and it's funnier. All suggestions no demands. 👍

48 Hours I don't think I have seen, at least not the whole movie, but I thought there was only one movie! 😅 Thank you for the suggestion, I know for a fact that she has never seen an Eddy Murphy movie

your girlfriend's a fricken psychopath, she's saying Rambo can take a lot of pain, yeah he can but that doesn't mean he should or would voluntarily want to be electrocuted. And after being tortured and electrocuted anyone can see he's gone through a lot and your girlfriend says "he doesn't look dead". Issues much ?

We were having fun with the movie, Rambo is the hero that we are rooting for 💪🏻 But anyway, yes she is a fricken psychopath for sure you, got that right

You shouldnt let viewers dictate what you watch. We all have different views and likes and dislikes, and there is nothing worse with reaction channels than people telling you not to react to something because they dont like said film. You could of missed out on this classic.

I know a lot of times people recommend not to watch something because they think it will spoil previous movies or something and they want to spare us from that. But yeah, sometimes (like in the case of this movie) its just a decision on my part 😅 this one was not on a poll, I just decided for us to see it (especially since both of us had not seen it)

Rambo 2 was not written by David Morrell so there are big plot holes.

Yeah, we felt there was some. It's an entertaining movie for sure, but we just felt the writing in the first one was much better

Rambo 1 is considered the classic. Rambo 2 is the plot hole one. Rambo 3 is American cold war proganda. Rambo 4 is the meat grinder.

Although, in truth, I was never particularly impressed with Rambo III; listening to what you said after the video, I think you'd feel a little left out if you didn't see it and later found out about its plot. You should probably continue in order. Expect the 4th film to be as different from II and III as the first is from the 2nd movie. Expect the 5th... to leave you feeling f***ing depressed (can't think of politer way of expressing it). May want to skip that one, go out on a high note.

This is more a straightforward action film. I agree Rambo's last words are forced, to make it more patriotic for the US audience. But I do like Rambo v Murdoch. As in the first film the American v American drama is good. That they told Rambo not to engage with the enemy suggests also that they were happy if he was killed. Also there's a strong suggestion that the Russians are US allies here, that's why the Russian says it's embarrassing Rambo was captured and Murdoch says he didn't want to finance a war effort against their allies. Murdoch just wanted to close the issue with the media by showing them pictures of empty camps. Even Rambo's contact on the ground thought they were empty. The pirates of course are just mercenaries. They turned against Rambo as the other side paid more money.

Rambo vs Murdoch is definitely my favourite part! and yeah, I agree the american vs american drama is the most compellent element in both movies

Rambo 2 is the cheesiest of all the Rambo movies. Rambo 3 is a bit better, and Rambo 4 and 5 are much better. Rambo 4 in particular is a must see.

well made propaganda movie to portray war criminals as victims. rest of the series are just plain bad propaganda aimed at those with limitations, the majority in usa. all of it funded and supervised, from script to marketing, by pentagon, literally.
