I live in mexborough in Doncaster here we have a lovely canal which you can walk beside Beautiful open country side as well. Also lots of Victorian Buildings including the train station. Pennine trail which leads you to a 18 arch blue brick viaduct over the river Don.and a castle 10 minutes away by car.

The vlog is very good you covered most places in Doncaster and thank you for entertaining and sharing the Towns places that we love and known for years, it is still very good town although Doncaster council have messed the map and the lay out of town one way traffic system and pedestrian zones made it difficult for shoppers to park up and shop, many shops are boarded up and investors have gone somewhere else, it's so sad to see a vibrant town with lots of potential to go downhill like its open market and what shoppers enjoyed to get about in town centre with ease please give us back the town of 90's and 2000 that we loved most.

Well that brought back a few memories! I was born & bred in Hyde Park, Doncaster, so close the the town centre. I left at age 16 to join the RAF. I recognise most of the locations featured, particularly Elmfield Park, I spent a lot of time there as a child. This was so nice. I like "ordinary" places. Because nowhere really is. I've just checked and I went to and fro on buses through Donnie a few times this year back in late April. I was staying at Retford in Notts which I'd never ever even heard of,and it's a charming town and visiting a friend, once a neighbour, who now lives in the village of Conisborough between Doncaster and Rotherham. She lives quite near the old fairytale castle, well that's how I think of it. I know it was a real fotification with real history but on it's rocky knoll it's looks like a fairytale castle out of Disney. I didn't do a wander round Donnie but I did Rotherham. Us soft southerners think it's grim oop north with black soot and grease and oil everywhere but that's long gone now, like your film shows. Also there is lovely countryside in South Yorkshire but not well known like the Yorkshire Dales or North York Moors.
