Thanks for 100.000 subscribers, I would´ve never thought I would reach so many watchers with my content when I started to upload music videos. I still remember when I was excited for the 1k :D Now we already got a huge community and people who started to change their view about Germany, which makes me really happy.
How else could I celebrate this than with a compilation of European countries, as Europe is my civilizational identity. I didn´t want to make just another generic song compilation^^
There will be certainly criticism that I didn´t take exactly those clips of your country you wanted to see. Sometimes I took only the capital, sometimes only landscapes, and all had to fit in with the background music, so some countries got 15 other only 12 seconds etc. I hope you can forgive me in those cases and you can still enjoy this video, which I created with best intentions.
I decided to not add Turkey or southern Caucasian states, as they are only geographically but not culturally connected to the core cultures of Europe, I hope you understand my decision. This doesn´t mean I don´t like those countries!
I hope my channel will survive the upcoming policy changes of KZfaq and I can entertain you with songs and history content for some more years :)

We all have 3 identities. The local one, which is Bavarian for me, the national one, which is German for me and the civilizational identity which is European and the whole Western World for me. We Europeans had fights and dramas, but we also influenced each other and the whole world and came to an age of mostly peaceful interaction. I wish that we Europeans stand together against any problems we have and put away the stereotypes and hatred which others want us to carry around forever. Thanks again for all your support :)

@@black_forest_ he said europe should take them in but ultimately the refugees should return home again. then he made the example about tibetian refugees in india who want to return once the situation allows it. that's a pretty bad comparision. he should have taken tibetians who live in europe and those probably don't want to return. he probably knew that. would have been too obvious that he is either a hypocrite that doesn't want to tell his own people to go back or that he actually just doesn'tvwant a specific group of people in europe.

I may not be full European (mestizo Filipino/Spaniard) nor have I stepped foot on European soil, but I hold European history, culture, and beauty in the highest regard. Almost every aspect of my life, from the language I speak, the stories I read, the music I listen to, and the history I study have their roots in Europe. It's something a lot of people take for granted and seldom appreciate. I wish nothing but the best for the continent and its people. Long may you all endure.

Being European is no doubt tied to ethnicity. It's not a "lol" that Georgia wasn't included, most people would not call it a European country. Georgia has cultural ties to Europe, calling it a full blown European country would be a mile long stretch. Turkey which is closer to Europe than Georgia is for sure not a European country for example.

My homeland of America is certainly beautiful, but Europe has thousands of years of history, and a proud tradition to it. And the landscapes are breathtaking. Por encima de todo soy malagueño y andaluz pero si tuviera que identificar mi nacionalidad de cara al mundo yo diría que soy español, supongo que esto depende de cada persona. Supongo que tu tienes un sentimiento de identidad propia y singular comparado con el resto de España y yo me siento parte de algo más grande que formamos todos los ciudadanos, pero como he dicho supongo que eso depende del individuo. Aclaro que sientas lo que sientas me parece bien todos tenemos el derecho de reconocer y defender nuestra nacionalidad.

I love and accept Europe as it is, its History, its countries’ culture, its people... all! Many people say European people is racist, clasist and things like that, but they sometimes have treated me better than Mexican people (I’m from Mexico)! I‘m from Germany. Trust me when I say that having the same spirit and love to our culture like our ancestors had isn’t really a good thing. We tried that once, not many people liked it. People from the past are not a good example in terms of cultural mentality. Caring and saving the cultural gifts of the past: At all costs. Feeling strong love and pride because of it: Dangerous territory.

Despite all the word banter and shitfest comment brawls, I still hold europe in high reguard as an american. My question to you as europeans is how do you recover culturally from WW2? The end of that war was when everything started and is what disenfranchised your people into the arms of outsider's culture.

Interesting video. Whenever I start to feel down or start to loose faith in my cause, I watch videos like this and remember what I'm fighting for. This is us, our history, our culture, our people. Even separated by thousands of miles our homeland calls out to us all, connecting us in ways no government can artificially manufacture. Europe is beautiful, and worth dying for a thousand times over.

I am so glad you put Great Britain in this video, especially with all these tensions about the EU and Brexit around. I'm English and I am proud to be a European. Many people say that us English aren't European and some English wish this were true. But the fact of the matter is that we are in Europe and we are European. The English language has been impacted massively by the German and French languages. In fact, if it weren't for the Angles and Saxons from Germany, Vikings from Scandinavia, Normans from France and the Celts from Ireland, Scotland and Wales, England would be a vastly different place than what it is today! It might not even exist! Europe is a small continent with so many different languages, cultures and countries crammed into it.The countries of Europe have interacted, influenced and challenged each other throughout the centuries allowing us to grow and better ourselves, making us into the successful group of nations we are. Europe wouldn't be so great if it weren't for the countries within it. We are the continent that shaped and moulded society into what it is in the present day. This video has made me realise that not only am I proud to be English, I am proud to be European and I am proud to be able to share this identity with so many people from so many beautiful countries on this single, tiny continent. I'm glad to be a part of that 100k. There's so much more that needs to be said, but words cannot express the raw emotion behind this video and the culture of Europe. Civilization in general is rooted in Europe and despite the wars and tension and the anger that may last among us, Europeans are united in a way that transcends individual culture and traits. This is a powerful video. Tensions fade with only the name European. We are a part of one of the most powerful pieces of the world.
