I wasn't expecting Luke Cage to be one of my favorite new cards, but he's so much fun in combination with Hazmat when combined with other On Reveal combo cards.

just some free info, Luke Cage can be played at any point! I got suprised myself when I accidently played my Luke Cage under invisible woman. All my cards were getting debuffed and it looked really bad, but at the end of the game when he was revealed all previous power debuffs were removed.

I was so excited for luke and people were DUMPING on them during the reveal!! It was so gut wrenching and I'm glad its atleast pretty good

Same for so many cards suchs as Typhoid Mary, Lizard or Yellowjacket. And you can play at so many locations without worrying its gonna be smth like jotunheim. Good way to have your opponent miscalculate too, playing luke cage at the end.

Isn't the Wong on turn 5 better than absorbing man when you have Odin. Because with absorbing man you get 4 hazmat triggers total, with Wong you get five

Something no one will ever notice is that I actually made the fingers on the hand thicker. They were super skinny lady-like Hazmat fingers, and I fattened them up a bit to make them match Luke Cage. Here's a comparison: i.imgur.com/2DCJdCS.png This stuff is totally pointless, but I always really enjoy making thumbnails and doing graphics stuff. It's my favorite part.

It's still pretty good as a way to stop certain combo decks that need a 4 5 6 curve like wong panther that this deck just can't really contest in raw power.

You haven’t thought that through completely if they don’t play a card because iceman they lost entire turn. Or to put it another way iceman either does nothing, it makes them make a worse play than the one they wanted or they lose an entire turn. the meta is also primed for it with decks like the other person mentioned that are actually just countered by it.

That one game where you had to Iron heart and Absorbing man after your Luke Cage got Gambited; you did actually play it in the correct order at first, chat just had you start second guessing yourself and when you replayed them you did it as you were talking about wanting Abs Man in mid and unconsciously played him there first. You absolutely had the right idea about playing that line instead of Hazmat! Chat really do be chat sometimes lel.

Playing iron heart mid would put the body to get the stats, then absorbing man right to get the ability. If he did this order he would get an extra iron heart effect

I will say, I was having serious "backseat gamer" energy on the "... Oh wait, Ironheart is the play" turn because when the game locked down I was like "Aha, now you Ironheart and..." and then you were doing all the Hazmat calculations and I was having the worse sorts of "NO, YOU FOOL!" frustrations. Glad you saw it in the end.

Just a quick FYI about Absorbing Man, he doesn't seem to work as intended with Wong. I play Moon Girl in my deck to copy Hazmat. So in my lane I had Wong, Hazmat, Hazmat, and Absorbing Man, but they only triggered 5 times. 4 times with the Hazmats, but only 1 for Absorbing Man. So I subbed out Wong with Typhoid Mary instead.

In the game where gambit kills the Luke cage, it was still probably more viable to play hazmat into Odin. The opponent already had 2 units each lane, meaning hazmat was worth -8 to them. You're right in say it would be even IF you played someone mid. If you leave it open and play hazmat you almost couldn't lose. Without playing a card they are likely to have priority, so on turn 6 Hazmat wins right, and Odin will cause Hazmat to unleash -16 on each card they play mid. If you leave mid empty on your side, you will win unless they somehow play four 17 power units there.

The one thing I’ve found sad when running a similar deck is that absorbing man doesn’t synergise with Wong or Kamar Taj - he only triggers his on reveal effect once. Whether this is intended or a bug I don’t think it would be too powerful if his on reveal was multiplied by them. 😢

I'm pretty sure he could create infinite loops if he worked like that, eg you play Odin onto him, he copies Odin, retriggering another card or even 2 PLUS Odin, which retriggers every card again, now including an Absorbing Man with Odin's ability...

You can mystique into typhoid mary and send mystique to opponent with viper in case you want to try a variant of this deck

He doesn't really fit this deck, because you would have to remove green goblin, Odin and maybe iceman and usually you have to play Wong on turn 4 here

So out of curiosity, since Luke cage prevents the debuffing why not run something like typhoid Mary for the powerful stats without the debuff over something like Goblin who didn't seem to be used much?

I would guess because green goblin has other utility because he can clog your opponents board. But also Typhoid Mary is arguably unplayable if you don’t draw Luke cage. I myself have run Typhoid Mary in my Luke cage decks though.

I've been running a Ceb-2 with Luke, Wong, Hazmat and Mystique. Mystique is only allowed to copy Wong. It took me from 40 to infinite in ranked because there is no counter. Because so few people actually run Enchantress. If I get Citadel. L O L

Hazmat, Wong into odin is a better play than Hazmat, Absorbing Man into Odin, because you get four ticks off instead of three. Unless you might think he plays cosmo.
