Everything about this is perfect, the art style is so good, the music is full of emotion and the overall experience is an overwhelming combination of happiness, nostalgia and sadness. It’s hard to believe how long it’s been since the show ended, but it’s good to see the fandom still thriving. As a wise man once said, “Oh, this…this is beautiful.”

I remember being on the last episode, not knowing it was the last episode and when i checked to see what episode it was, it said season 2 episode 20. The smile on my face instantly turned into a frown. I was so eager on continuing but there were only 2 seasons. I cried during the ending scene and said, "Ive never been this sad because a cartoon ended". All the characters are amazing, i love the personalities and most of the fandom is holding up pretty strong even though it ended 7 years ago. I really hope we get some continuation on GF, i need to see bill get brought back (atleast i hope, that dorito is a menace to the universe but is just so cool smh) and i really wanna see dipper and mable when their older, if that happens. Anyways, i love GF sm, i wish it comes back!

Inspirational Speech warning. Gravity falls always made me laugh and smile, I nearly cried when I realized it wasn’t going to continue. Gravity falls has a safe spot in my heart. And it will always have a place there. I love the series, it’s weird, funny and full of friendship. Like my life, Mable and Dippers problems felt like mine, because I had trouble with lots of things. I’ll miss the series, I ALSO HAD A CRUSH ON DIPPER FOR LIKE THE SECOND SEASON-

This here is a masterpiece. It perfectly traps the nostalgia of gravity falls we all knew back in 2012. Gosh has it really been over 10 years since that next summer that never came? I love how in the background it counted up to 2020. Also the mental breakdowns dipper is having due to his PTSD with bill. Mable always standing up for him as usual and seeing all the characters a little older is great too. The music itself is sad, yet happy. It not only speaks about dipper feeling like gravity falls is his true home, but all of us who grew up with the show. What id give to go back there and have a new mystery to solve. That next summer note hurt to see cause that's what we all have been waiting for...a next summer. I think I can say on the behalf of everyone that yes, we know there will never be a 3rd season, but every year we get that stupid theory that makes completely 0 sense and have a twitch of hope. Although we all know it'll never come, we want it so so badly.

I remember listening to this exact video during the covid pandemic, and now listening to it now nearly four years later, it brings back the pain, anxiety, the sense of despair, and loneliness. Now it all comes rushing back, but then there it is the fact that is in the past. yesterday is history, today is a gift, and tomorrow is a mystery.

I just rediscovered this video, I used to watch it all the time years ago lol. I love that in your description you mention that you have no idea whats happening, but I think this video makes perfect sense. In the aftermath of there first summer, Dipper finds himself alone and haunted by the Trauma of Bill and Wierdmaggedon, but even with all that haunting him all he can ever think about is his next trip to his true home. Amazing!

I like the idea that they keep going back each summer even after we can't, I feel like that's one of the reasons this is such an amazing show, because it was short.

Poor dipper. He really misses gravity falls. The only place where he felt like a normal person. Where he learned to trust and believe.

This really captures the picture of what dipper could have possibly been going through after the tv show ended. Teenage stress, missing your childhood and reliving it. Truly a perfect emotional picture.

From what I got from this animation and what other people have commented, I think I came to a conclusion on what this animation means. I think Dipper misses Gravity Falls because it was the only place he really felt at home. And he’s showing big signs of PTSD (Post Trauma Stress Disorder) from fighting Bill in the original show. 1:09 I think this part really solidifies this theory and this part 0:42 really solidifies his mental break err PTSD. 1:57 And I think this part is the bully talking about Dipper and saying how he’s too afraid to open up or try to fit in because of his PTSD and need to go back to Gravity Falls. I don’t nessescarily think he regrets going back home with Mabel and growing up with her, but still misses Gravity Falls. He misses his friends, he misses the one place he really feels at home and fitted into…. 2:30 And this scene shows how desperate he is to go back, he’s willing to shake Bill’s hand to go back! And I think that final scene is Dipper’s wish coming true, he’s going back to Gravity Falls! But something tells me that if that pact with Bill actually happened, in his mind or in real life, he mightttt not like this Gravity Falls…….. But hey! That’s just a theory! A FILM THEORY!!!! And cut! (I’m gonna miss matpat so much….) And yes some other people probably said this exact thing. I’m just combing all the theories I saw and my own personal beliefs.

i feel like mabel is seen to not really care about things, but i can relate to her more than any other character on the show. She probably has some PTSD from weirdmagedon too, and on top of that huge amounts of shame. Her mental response to that is to be happy all the time, i feel like shes so stuck in this world where her joy is her only personality trait and if she were to show different emotions she would loose friends. Not like she isnt happy sometimes or even most of the time. And add that to being second best to dipper in litrally everything and now that he isnt able to hide his ptsd and depression well she has become his protector too

After a long time I finally was able to find this video again. I had to rewatch the entire series thinking it was more than 2 seasons long. It ended almost 12 years ago, this makes me really sad.

Every so often, I return to this video. Whether it be in tears wishing for comfort, or longing for some form of emotion to trigger inside of me. This video makes me sad in such a welcomed way, the feeling of nostalgia trickling down my back with the words of the song I know so well and the faces of characters I grew up with.

i was honestly expecting worse at the end but I am thankful it isnt... after all these years of gravity falls, this mightve been the closest to bringing tears to my eyes. the years that went by, shows that I am not as young as I used to be, yet I still love the show. the references as well, Eddsworld, Adventure Time, Bendy, Star vs The Forces Of Evil (possibly), Little Nightmares (possibly), Undertale. I love it all and how the fandom comes up with what happens in the future, I love it and it just warms my heart that Gravity Falls, is one of the most popular and well known shows that I watched when I was a kid. the characters certainly were not in any way forgettable (BILL... why is he in my head?), I love it all and I cherish it

I absolutely love this take on what Dipper went through after the summer ended. I feel like people forget that he was only 12 being tormented by Bill. After going through everything that he did, there is no way he didn’t have some sort of PTSD later in life. It is also very fitting that Gravity Falls is the only place Dipper feels truly at home. Imagine having to go back to normal life after the summer he had and how re adjusting would be near impossible. I like to think Dipper and Mabel both moved to Gravity Falls once they turned 18.

Nobody is talking about the actual filmology of this. Of course, I'm heartbroken that the show ended. But continuing the lore of it, I would've never thought to think about Dipper being depressed and full of PTSD and anxiety. He's still holding on trying to figure out what happened. And when Stan died, memories started to flood black and now he is believing Bill Cipher is alive. It's so heartbreaking to see a great kid show we watched growing up actually acknowledge the effects of the real world.

its not just the memories of this show, but the fact that everyone who has watched this, is probably 15- 20. I have always understood Dippers character, he's a socially awkward teenage geek obsessed with the paranormal and his other interests. I am just that. I have never found true home, except there is one place I feel home at, and that's when I am alone. I think his character is one of the greatest ways to write that one kid in your school, that people know, and plenty love, but is still his own person
