I’m actually surprised how chill this cat is considering how much cats can hate shaves and ESPECIALLY baths. He was just silently (or not so silently ;)) fuming 😤

Such a beautiful kitty, when the muzzle is removed! :) It's so hard for them to be still for long, poor babies. But this one is so patient, and I can tell he's curious and interested in everything that goes on. Like a wise old man :)

I sometimes volunteer at my local shelter so I'm grateful for your videos because I get to learn a bit about grooming and I hope to someday use it to help matted pets that come to us (not as a professional groomer but you know it's a small shelter in a small town I'm not even sure we've got a groomer in town)

I clicked on this as soon as I saw the notification.... the best thing about watching you groom cats.... is not just watching.... but seeing how MY cats react to the cat getting groomed! I must say you did a really great job with him... that cat is MASSIVE!! I think he probably weighs more than both mine combined! (this is not to say he's a fat cat, he's just BIIIIIIIIG!!!) I have 1 tuxedo (she's probably 7 lbs and is the sweetest thing... but man it's a fight just to trim her claws! I adopted her from my local shelter 😻😻) She was already hanging out before the video... but once unhappy kitty sounds started... my little black fuzz man jumped up (he wasn't even in the same room to begin with) and was looking for the invader so he could defend his turf and human... it was so cute! Excellent job as usual Dede! I'm amazed at how quickly you were able to get that guy done! 😻😻😻

It would be nice if you would talk about the size of blades that you use where and why, etc., so that we can learn about what we need if we do our own grooming. I love watching you. Thank you.

Awwww poor baby. I hated hearing him cry. Why did he need to be shaved? He is a beautiful boy! So sweet! My Miss Kitty would have had blood dripping from the walls ....and none of it would have been hers! He deserves lots of treats and loving for being so well behaved.

Very good boy Clark! My 20lb. Ragamuffin, Fumar who is about the same size would have torn us both up. Then torn the stuff off the walls climbing the air to get off the table. Then broke down the front door and escaped to be away from the sound of those clippers. You can groom her any other way. Clip nails just fine. Hears the clipper sound even on these videos and she is GONE!

That's an intense way to hold kitty at the beginning there. And why the muzzle ? Does that keep them calm?..or is it for bite prevention? Also why is he being shaved ? On another note. My Bengals love love love bates, we usually play spa music and make it a whole thing. . ...they would probably enjoy a professional grooming like this. Thanks for sharing!

This cat is a big job! The good thing is you can body control him easier than a smaller, more jumping one. Good job! I groomed in owner's homes on the floor...no flying off of tables and less likely to leap onto something else in room. People have no idea how physical grooming is till tackling a matted ticked off kitty.

I wonder why you would shave a cat? I agree if it’s very matted or has skin infection. Can anyone tell me other reasons? Thanks

I appreciate all she does for the animals. But she needs to have a sweeter, kinder, calmer voice for these animals. I've never seen a cat or dog under stress react well to loud No, don't do it, don't get mar!, don't bite me!!! Iy just doesn't help the animals to relax.

My cats are going to the groomer next month for the very first time, our house is being remodled and we wanted to get the cats groomed so they'll be all nice and clean for the new house. They're both short hair cats and we won't want them to be shaved. I'm trying to find a video on the normal grooming process for cats, brushing, bath, nails clipped, ect. I want to know what will be happening since I won't be there.. my cats are my babies. Do you have a video like that?

Pretty boy 💕 looks like a Norwegian Forest kitty. Growing up we always got ours with long hair shaved and they LOVED it (afterwards of course lol) cept they looked horribly done nowhere near as smooth shave as this guy

This big boy was SO good with all the torture! The voices were so harsh. I would babytalk. I also would not expect a cat to endure a bath after a stressful haircut. Clark, you passed with flying colors!

My cat woulda pooped and pissed all over that table 🙈 she's chunky and solid white so I have to give her baths bc she starts looking yellow being dirty. And promptly after the bath she poops in the tub.

Is it normal to shave a longer haired cat if they don’t have Matt’s? My Ruby LOVES the brush. I take her to the groomer for a de-shed & for sanitary shaves. Should I be shaving her???

I love the Groomer very much. She knows her job. The owner of the cat is very loving to her cat. The cat's very obediant. I believe as time goes by the cat will be comfortable with the Groomer. From Homestead Florida. Wish I could have you to groom my Kittie... he's a RUSHING BLUE. Rev. M. Clinton

Imagine having fur that thick and having to clean it with your tongue. So many hairballs, not to mention black fur that thick will be so hot during the summer.

I bathed 2 of our 3 cats last week. First cat was not happy, but let me wash him. His sister freaked out when she saw the water, clawed me inside my nose and up my arm and bit my other arm. She got washed as my nose bled into the tub. The third cat hasn't been bathed yet. My plan going forward is a rinse and a wrap (in a towel) daily. Soap once a month. I figure daily rinsing should take care of most of the dander and cat-lick smell and get them used to getting wet and possibly washed. I might even get out of cat bathing alive. 😎
