The amount of Onewheel riders with broken collar bones has to be much much higher than anything else. MMA fighting, etc.

It's a board sport thing. Or, anything where you can come flying off and primarily land sideways, which is going to include 2 wheeled stuff too, among other things.

I can feel every bit of that fall. I broke my collar bone last July riding my OneWheel. Definitely not a fun time. But all recovered and back on my board. Hoping for a speedy recovery for you Bohdi.

I hope Bodhi gets better soon! Man when I busted my collarbone it felt like I even broke my neck, truly one of the worse feelings aside from busting your ACL, everyone rode safe and looks like Bodhi might be out for almost 5 months if he’s gona let it heal on its own. Yyyeeeeehhhhhhhhh 🤙🏼

Damn just playing it back that fall was Im like 90% positive due to over torqueing the motor. at first I thought maybe it just didnt engage right and chucked him but slow motion it engaged but to much weight forward/ momentum to quickly and rest is history. Get Better Bodhi!

I’ve broken both of ‘em, once racing kite buggies on the beach in a squall, no fun, no fun at all! So good to see R back, and Jeff snuck in from home duties, way to be da man mang! The Life Float! It’s Simple. Don’t ride fast down drops and nosedive into the dirt. Full sending it always has its risks.

What kind of breakdown do you need, my dude? The physics of a OneWheel are not conducive for racing. This is just a consequence of doing so eventually. The Float Life is not The Race Life. Power to everyone who sends it, but you have to accept the risk if you want to be topping the charts.

I wanna see the fall in slo-mo because I honestly can't see why it dived on him like that. While he didn't land perfectly level and dragged the tail, he seemed to recover right before the board gave up and nosed. I'd love an explanation from someone more knowledgeable

@@SMASHINGblargharghar Could be a lot of different factors and it's tough to know. I suspect it's simply overtorque and the board lost its ability to keep balanced. It's a lot of forward momentum on the legs/board.

Looks like he did the best he could but he slammed hard and rolled after. It's extremely hard to roll onto your back crashing downhill.

I don't know if I'd say that per se lol (absolutely wouldn't). He slammed into the side of his shoulder, which is typically how this happens. Not so easy to do a proper roll when you're soaring through the air before you even get to do anything in the way of preparing for a better landing. Already largely screwed at that point.

I've never really understood drops or even going downhills on my onewheel for speed id much rather go for speed without brakes, hopefully oneday the one wheel community understand that style and obstacles is one thing (solo). whilst speed is not obstacle based on speed limited motorised vehicles... lastly speed could be (multi) however mixing every possible category, this is carnage! for no apparent reason. diversify things with structure and more events for more content..

Oh I know allllll about a broken collarbone. I snapped mine in half when my xr nosedived on me going 24 mph. I had to get a plate attached to fix it and it has been the worst 3 months of my life lol and it’s also been a $42k medical bill due to surgery too. Sad to say, I’m giving up my Onewheel life for awhile.

fair enough. I actually did something similar I think I had 26mph on a bike path. I got lucky and didnt break anything but I learned quickly to never push speed like that . 100% my fault leaning past the push back.

After breaking my collar bone(twice) one on my GT and the other in football ik how it feels brudda🫠. Take it day by day. That ones a tough one. But bones grow back stronger remember that🫡
