Well folks, here is a rather unexpected "This is How You DON'T Play" that wasn't in the schedule, but because I am nice to you all, I'm going to treat you!
As the title implies, this is on Super Mario Kart, a game that kickstarted the Kart Racer game genre and one that a lot of people highly regard as one of the top games of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. However, Phil Burnell decided to play it on his Super Nintendo for Switch Online showcase and boy is it a show of rants, fails and even blaming the game of cheating while Phil also cheats himself by abusing save states. Enjoy this and hope you'll look forward to the remake of "This is How You DON'T Play of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled." ^_^

he plays this game like a 10 year old. I literall...LITERALLY KNEW 10 year olds who power drifted like crazy with every character. he's "king of retro" yet shows no real prowess at the Super Mario Kart lol

8:53 The opponents drove from under the Thwomps that were airborne while Phil drives into one that's slamming the floor right there. 20:33 Bowser: You almost got me, but not quite. (Le Paradox said that in Sly 4 Thieves In Time) 22:14 The fuck is he on? The Thwomp is clearly there! 29:31 He threw the banana peel right before jumping from the ramp. 31:44 He doesn't even try to jump over items and he doesn't get the hit detection. 32:41 Nah he drove towards the edge and I knew he would save on a save state at least once since he tends to press up and down randomly when he goes to the menu, very subtle rage 39:05 Clearly he shouldn't have used the mushroom there 42:22 You really don't want to use a mushroom on a sharp turn!

You can just imagine little 12 year old Phil stomping through the doors of the video game shop snorting and burping his way up to the counter and then slamming it on the counter before protesting "Dood *burp* this game is broken ! It cheats like crazy! *snort* I want my money back"

@4:21 Get That Ass Banned. If DSP so negative about Super Mario Kart, why not give Mario Kart 64 a spin? That game would make him really salty. I outright hate Mario Kart 64.

Yes DSP, Bowser and Donkey Kong have the bad handling, but so does Yoshi and Princess Peach. He should've picked Toad or Koopa as they have superb handling.

he picked yoshi and wonders why he loses so much. Yoshi and Peach have Acceleration and low top speeds. Bowser And DK and Mario and Luigi are the best followed by Toad and Troopa. yes the ai does cheat with infinite items and "speed boost" but if you're a powerslide pro you win easily. Game isn't hard when you know how to play it. if you watch the demo it shows how to powerslide. Its obvious he never watched the demo as a kid because he can't powerslide for S##t LMAO

Way I see it, occasional save state usage is fine. But when you abuse them like Phil... That's another story.

While I agree that Super Mario Kart is definitely unfair, it's not unbeatable by any means. You need to be really good and have a lot of patience to beat and master the game. Especially on 150cc. So yes, while the game does cheat, that's still no reason to constantly bitch about how the game cheats like Phil does. Learn how to overcome it and adapt to it

Agreed. I play Mario Kart 8 DX and it is easier than its original sister incarnation. I was 8 when I beat Mario Kart (SNES). Think like the CPU to beat it...

I think it got taken down alongside the creator, same with Luigi’s Mansion 3 TiHYDP, I’ll probably consider making those to fill the void.

not surprise by save state phill surprise he did not use it to get first place on all the races. and i guess dsp rather have the NPC take all the item boxes instead of random items claims the game cheats but use save states pretty much rules for thee but not for me
