Kostin has been a breath of fresh air. Him giving it to the hopeless Edmonton media was golden and every fan in Edmonton respects how he dealt with two of the worst pinheads in the group.

Great job by Klim! These two hacks thought they had an inexperienced player they could bully into saying what they want to hear. Nice to see them put in their place.

Klim Kostin has such a delightful personality, I've never used the word delightful to describe someone, but it fits. He's been great as an Oiler as well...since his very 1st game as an Oiler, I have been wondering what was Doug Armstrong smoking when he decided to give him up. But hey, I'm glad he was smoking whatever it was, cause I'm very happy that Kostin is in Edmonton.

I have loved him so far. He brings a lot of energy on the ice and seems hilarious off ice. Everyone is typically giving the goalie a fist bump after games but he goes in for a massive hug, and did the same in overtime for who scored. Just seems super fun and has brought a ton to a third line that really did t do much before which we need with so much of the top 9 out. And this interview just made me like him more, those two need to go. He’s right the fans hate them. Their questions are garbage and repetitive. And then other times flat out disrespectful. Nice to see him say it to their face

Klim Kostin is becoming a rising star in Edmonton! He has been fairly good fulfilling his role and even has some points to show for it since he was activated in Dec. Adding the clip of him acknowledging that Spectre and Matheson need to try a bit harder with question generation other than same old boring questions that are asked before and after every game. Or questions they know aren't going to be answered without immediate retaliation from another teams fans is a waste of time even asking. Yes, they are trying to create media frenzy when a player says something that could become media gold but why not ask something that the fans actually wanna hear or know? Stupidest question ever: So you were on the same line as McDavid a couple times tonight and got an assist/goal. How did it feel being on the ice with McDavid? What do you think they are gonna say? "No different than any other talented player!"??? "He's highly overrated in the media! He's not that good!" Of course they are gonna says it was great and everyone on the team likes playing on the ice with Connor! I'm sorry to say this knowing Matheson has been covering the Oilers forever, but if these same old questions are repeatedly being asked, maybe its time for some retirement announcements to be made?! Apparently, they have been in their cushy jobs for too long and way to comfortable with their job security to even do some background research to pull up some actual trivia and follow ups that could actually result in intelligent questions. Tony Brar on the other hand has been listening to his fan base and reading Edmonton Oiler KZfaq channel comments and has elevated his questioning intelligence and has even gotten remarks from the players for asking good questions!

As a lifelong Blues fan and watching his entry draft come to be, I had high hopes for Mr. Kostin. All that said, I hope he succeeds in Edmonton and for a long and successful career.

Kostin has been great in EDM. He's not superstar or anything, but he plays with heart, and grit, and that's something this team needs much, much more of. I hope they manage to extend him. I think he's just starting to get his game back, and should get better yet, with some more time on this team.

Just subscribed recently - yeah, keep 'em coming! It's a great way to get a glimpse of the players' off-ice personas.

Matheson has been around forever, so I just see it as him playing out the rest of his time and riding on his reputation, which used to be really good. But Spector seems to target players and drag them down in opinion pieces or commentaries. His latest target has been Jesse Puljujaarvi, who got injured and caught Covid last season around Christmas. He's been riding JP ever since. And when JP does have a good game, it's not good enough for Spector. I'm not saying JP's play hasn't been a letdown compared to his first round draft status, but Spector seems to want him out of town for a bag of pucks.

Still hoping he comes back to the Oilers! He was so loved! Please come back KLIM!

Like all MSM the Journal has the entitled attitude and really no idea of what it is like to be a player.

Most player interviews are just unnecessary fluff these days. How many different ways can players answer questions like "So, what do you think you're gonna need to do to come back and win this game?" type of question? "Yeah, well we just gotta re-focus and play our game, work harder in the corners... " etc... etc.. COME ON. This kinda crap usually adds the least value to any broadcast.
