As an amateur drummer, I want to say thanks for your “Shout out to all the drummers” But, we really don’t want the recognition, we (I) just want it to sound good. And Niel “WORKED”. He worked on every drum hit he did. He said this in a few interviews that he always just wanted to be the best he could be. Even in the R40 tour (40 years since the band was established), Neil said “time” was an enemy. But an enemy he would not let get the best of him. His body was going through the natural phase of aging. But that just made Niel work harder. We should all strive to be like Niel. Whether it’s drumming or processing packages at a package processing plant. Dot the best and strive for more. That’s what made Niel the professor of his craft. I can’t tell you how the passing of Niel has affected me, But I think if Niel and I had this conversation he would say “Just relax and do what you do your best… And always strive to better what you do”. Don’t get lazy and say you have already reached your best. Because your best has yet to come. No Matter what your age. Niel knew this. He is a model for us all. Look at his writings of Rush’s songs. Mostly just “Happy”, but always with a message.

Hey Stax good to see you back at the Rush. This is the song that first turned me on to them. Still one of my favs. Try Between the Wheels of a good son with some haunting synths and another killer Alex solo. Cheers!

Great reaction! One of Alex’s best solos!! This is how they used to record at Le Studio in Canada!! They just record live off the floor all together like that!! Just monster musicians! Be well and God bless… from Texas!!

Alex has said that his haunting guitar solo for 'Limelight' is his favorite. It perfectly fits the mood of the song. I love everything about this song; in addition to Alex's solo, Neil's drumming is amazing, and his lyrics really describe his plight as an introverted person struggling with life in the spotlight. I also love Geddy's vocals here, especially; they are so yearning and emotional. Great bass playing too, obviously.

This song is about Neil Peart's uncomfortably with being famous. He was a quiet shy person who was embarrassed by the fandom. Alex Lifeson's solo here has such a bittersweetness to it which so matches the lyrics . I will suggest Digital Man from the Snakes and Arrows tour Show don't tell (rabbits from a hat intro) Presto tour 1990. Cheers

* Hey, have you heard Rush songs like: Dreamline, Cold Fire, Bravado, Alien Shore, Mission, Open Secrets and Prime Mover? They're not bad at all. Even Geddy Lee really liked the "Bravado" song.

In the end of this video, on the far lower right corner, the germen shepherd actually bows his head like he is reacting to that last beat in the song. It’s absolutely fantastic and it’s like he is reacting to the end of this great song. But that darn KZfaq always seems to have that “Pup-Up” and it covers up the dog’s reaction. It was an important detail in this video. What a shame. Try to watch it with the “Pop-Up” is off.
