This is deserving of an Oscar. The fact that she cried during the performance proves that not only is she singing it for the show. But to show everyone that no matter what you look like we all are deserving of love and praise for not giving up.

*Can't wait for her to perform this at the Oscars.* No one has announced it yet, but this is a sure contender for the best original song. I love all the songs from the film and I'm just hoping that they pass more than this song to the Academy...I remember Disney's "Enchanted" being nominated with 3 of its songs for the Best Original Song category.

I am a huge fan of Waitress the musical on Broadway. Keala happened to be in it and she was AMAZING in it, but she has topped that. This. This is the best thing I have seen her do. She is beautiful inside and out and an amazing singer. I love her.

For anyone who wants to play this on guitar, here's how :) Verse - Bm A D D, G Bm A A Alternate between those two progressions through the whole verse. The first verse will be a single down strum per chord, all the other verses will be ↓↑↓↑↓↑ x2 per chord (except the two middle transition chords, which will be ↓↓↑) Pre-Chorus - G Bm D A Same thing as above, a single down strum each chord on the first pre-chorus, then ↓↑↓↑↓↑ for each chord. Chorus - D (x2) Bm (x2) G A ↓↑↓↑↓↑ for each chord for the chorus strum pattern Hope this helps you out! She needs to go in vocal rest for a while. Her voice has sounded super tired and strained the last several live performances she’s done. I know she’s fantastic, which makes it super obvious when she’s not at her best.

Jarrett Self Perhaps...not really. She’s performed 8 shows a week for about 10+ years on broadway. For a bunch of Australians who haven’t heard of her. This performance just solidified her place in the carols live performance zeitgeist. No one expected this. No one heard any strained or broken notes. This is a faultless performance. The crowd actually kept cheering for another minute...

I agree Jarrett. She did the same thing when she toured Tracy in the National of Hairspray: She'd sing herself out (and she really killed the score... Best sung Tracy ever) and she'd struggle to get through shows. Just because you're on Broadway doesn't mean you know how to always sing properly, support and keep the instrument clean & clear. Just look at the huge numbers of women who have gone in and out of Wicked with vocal problems.
