Shopping List:
medium sized sweet potatoes
Pecan Topping:
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar
5 tbsps melted butter
1 pinch of salt
cinnamon sugar
Mashed Sweet Potatoes:
1/2 stick melted butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp butter extract
lemon zest
1/2 cup white and brown sugar
2 tbsps all purpose flour

If I hadn't already made dinner, I would have tried this! It looks delicious! I love how you show so much detail as to how to make these scrumptious dishes. I also like that fact that you share what brands you use. Some people on these type videos or shows, turn the brand around so you can't see them. I especially like the outtakes. Keep these video's coming. I just love 'em!

I work at Texas Roadhouse we do ours with caramel cinnamon sauce and roasted marshmallows! 💜💜Although I bet the pecans in it would be good, Ive never seen them do that before. Definitely gona try this tho!

You just kill me honey. You take things I do already but take them to another level..also, no company this year, so you have me the idea of 3 of these sweet potatoes and then 3 of the regular twice baked potatoes you do which I absolutely love. I have no freezer room this year for doing casseroles ahead of time so this will get done the morning of with a cornbread dressing and chicken casserole, ham biscuits and green bean or three. Done!!!! Well, maybe a pie, who knows???? Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We've got lots to be thankful for this year.....it's coming!!!! Hang tight. ❤️🤗🧑‍🍳🦃

I Love watching you go too work You say why the hail not . My mother was a preacher in her kitchen her recipe spoke to your soul so much love in every dish , she cooked that's why I love how you get down too 🥰 . When I do my sweet potato especially pies I don't use vanilla extract, all spice , and I've never use marshmallows. From watching my Nana I kept the old tyme way and traditional way CINNAMON, NUTMEG , LEMON EXTRACT, WHITE SUGAR, BROWN SUGAR , UNSALTED BUTTER, CAN EVAPORATED CAN MILK , EGGS PINCH OF SALT AND FOR EXTRA KICK PINCH OF BLACK PEPPER. WHY THE HAIL NOT . THAT'S HOW NANA HARRIET SMITH GOD bless her they Be banging my door down . I am going to try that Recipe probably for Christmas I gotta kept my mother alive cooking the old fashioned way . I love your channel. Your food always looks amazing and the detail you provide on preparation is excellent. Do you have any healthy recipes for people on chemotherapy? The dreaded disease of cancer is ravaging many, and in some cases is caused by years of poor eating habits, particularly in the black community. I am horrible at knowing what to prepare for someone on chemotherapy, that is appetizing, healthy, palatable and not bland. If you don’t have any receipes, no worries. Just thought I would ask. I seen sweet potatoes explode in the oven; when I have seen this happen it was because no holes were made into the potato. One of my grandmother's made sweet potatoes like this for the holidays.

Okay bake 4 large sweet potatoes about 45 min. Don't forget to poke them. Let them cool a bit and then slice each one crosswise little more than one inch thick. Peal the skin off each round and place them all on a foiled cookie sheet sides touching. Place a pat of butter on each one then sprinkle with brown sugar and walnuts or pecans. Bake in oven another 30 minutes Yummy

I love baked or roasted sweet potatoes, but I'm a purist, no sugary stuff for me; they are sweet enough with just salt, pepper and BUTTER! 🙂 However, for the holidays, my sister makes the candied yams using molasses and butter, with marshmallows on top. One year she drizzled Jack Daniels on top, but got a bit too much. Now we just always ask if she's going to make "drunken sweet potatoes".🤣 These look yummy, but way too sweet for this diabetic!

I usually enjoy my sweet potatoes baked, with butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sometimes I sub the sugar with honey, maple syrup, or caramel ice cream topping. Yours look good, just too rich for me! 😊

My favorite Sweet potato is baked with only butter and black pepper! No one else in my family will eat sweet potato except me! I grew up in the South of Texas. My husband is German. I just don’t like it real sweet.
