The game is alright but Bandai's marketing for Kakarot is absolutely horrid

The funny thing is that Whis even says they're not supposed to meet like this and that they should try not to think about it. That's basically Bandai telling the audience "yes we know it's not canon, just shut up and consume"

Bruh he really didn't even talk about the water at all, you don't have to grind past the main story mode at all just repeat wiss's training use the water and you can easily go from level 100 to 250 within 30 to 45 minutes depending on if you know what you are doing with the challenges

No, took me 2 hours to go from lvl 100 to 250 on Goku by fighting whis and drinking a shit ton of sacred water (which levels you up) the bonyu mission is NOT the best way to level up just grind whis and drink a lot of water you’d be ready for Beerus in no time

You'll get more hours buying a single character from fighterz then this whole dlc

Whis gives Sacred waters which level you up much faster than the android 21 levelling up

The next dlc will be the same. Guaranteed. Most likely the golden frieza fight and we get to unlock ssjb for vegeta and goku. Then most likely the following dlc will be an ACTUAL big dlc for the Tournament of power.

I really wish this game followed battle of gods.CC2 is one of the few companies that could really beautifully adapt the battle of gods storyline, and this could’ve really been it’s first big, really good video game adaptation.

That "water" gives you a shit ton of experience

The water whis gives you is for exp, u go to items and u start leveling your character

The beerus fight is the best part of the dlc, learning how to dodge his attacks and countering him was really fun, home the future dlc has other cool boss fights but more content is also needed

That "water" is great for leveling up if you havent maxed out your characters pre dlc

Hey, I think the Sacred Water can be used to level Goku and Vegeta up in the story. Not just EXP or the Training stuff, though that works, too.

It's all about expectations, if they played this off as some little extra boss battle, everyone would be blown away right now "Wow there's even a cutscene" "And a new map!" Changes everything

If they were already gonna go off-canon it's a shame they didn't give Gohan and Trunks the transformations too

It also kinda upgraded your fighting style drastically for Goku and Vegeta, making them **much better** when it comes to multi hits.

This is like if road to boruto was just the virtual missions from that DLC with just the adult naruto fight at the end. Yikes.

2:46 actually you don't, after beating the dlc, I made a new save file where right after defeating piccolo I started the dlc and yeah thanks to sacred waters my goku is level 50 and I'm still at collecting apples and fish with gohan.

I started my game (already beat the game the normal way on another console) and I hopped on the planet and for a few hours of grinding to get up to level 150, and now I can easily beat the story mode again. So this dlc really helped with replying the game fast

with whis the ultimate water when applied is so op just do the level 200 over and over and apply it i maxed 3 characters in an hour

I personally really like this dlc, sure it's not battle of gods but I do like that they try a new approach and I personally hope the next ones are more like story missions but at least we got dlc in the first place

You can hold down the button with Vegeta too and it will shoot until his ki runs out after you upgraded all the way

i did the post game grind when the game came out and so I finished the dlc in less time than it took for an episode of neo yokio to end lack luster if you ask me.

I definitely think I'll wait till all 3 dlc are out and then get the season pass and play it all so it will take more than a day

I got to lvl 250 with the whis training in around an hour since you get 10 sacred water of that specific type when doing the training missions, and you can do those over and over again

They literally said its gonna focus on gameplay, not an episode story with cutscenes, how are they misleading?

it's really weird: the game was marketed as kinda the definitive way to see Dragon Ball's story in a video game, and, tbh, as much as they could, the got really close to achieving it, but then, you look at the side missions and turns out EVERY villain gets revived to literally be used as a punch bag (or spar buddy, if you want to be less aggressive), and to top it all off, you get this DLC that doesn't take the story from any of the *THREE* DBS' continuities and it even resorts to Lampshading. I'm not mad at all, just... weirded out

Goku’s god kamehameha could also be a beam that’ll win any beam clash depending on how much ki you have instead of how fast you press, letting you hold down the button instead of breaking your controller

I hope that new story arc dlc will include content from GT so we can have Super Saiyan 4 for Goku and Vegeta and that would be so cool.

It's disappointing as anything other than boss fights It looks very clean tho That Vegeta cutscene!

if u do the training missions for whis while ur level is low the sacred water levels u up if u use it so whis is the best way to level up

if you go in without expectations it's a fun ride. and the level 250 beerus is pretty powerful and took me a couple attempts to beat.

I was level 112 before starting the DLC and ended up being level 250 with all the playable characters, doing Whis level-up training and giving your characters the Ultimate Sacred Water is the best way to level up in this game now.

You can access it anytime and the exp you get goes to the main story. It was made for the Beerus fight and for extra eco for the main game.

This is exactly what the game needed I’ve already watched the Berus movie and this dlc made me excited since it was kinda new and I loved it and had a better time playing this dlc than the main game and can’t wait for the next dlc

Capsule Corp doesn't give even close to as much XP. Not only do the Whis boss fights give way more, but the Sacred Waters give ridiculous amounts of XP that you can put on any character. It's dozens times of better to farm

If you want to level up fast, I strongly recommend doing training with whis and getting the sacred water that levels you up a lot, all you have to do is complete the "finish within 1 min" challenge and you get about 3 per challenge, and I think you get about 5 for completing the challenge, depending in what challenge you actually choose to do. Anyways, if you want to finish the fight within a min and get 3 extra sacred waters, all you have to do is spam big bang attack whilst in super sayian God from the very start, it should take you about half a minute to complete, so 10 minutes of constantly doing this will definitely get you over 100, which is enough to lvl up about 50 times

I enjoyed the DLC but thats just me.

I will say that Whis can be fun to be fight if you arent already max level. I put the game down after finishing the base game and coming back to try this stuff out at level 77 was pretty fun. I havent beat the dlc obviously but I was able to do Whis at level 100 pretty easily tho, so if youre underleveled you can have a lot of fun.

If you do the training with whis, you get more xp and you also get items to give you xp. It worked a lot better with him

Okay, so i know that this may be a bit controversial but this is part 1, it says so in the dlc name: A new power awkens- Part 1, there will more than likely be a second part more closely related to battle of gods.

I kinda hated that level 250 boss battle against Beerus since I couldn't even use my items, not one. Had like 650 super healade and 59 senzu beans for nothing. I actually had to strategize lol it felt like Xenoverse 2 Ultra Instinct all over again, what a pain, but pretty accurate. Closest representation in a video game to what it would feel like fighting a God of Destruction.

I like the challenge that comes with this DLC, but training with Whis COMPLETELY destroys the balance of the core game. Literally, after defeating Piccolo in the beginning of the Saiyan Saga, nothing will stop you from just asking Whis to train you right away. At level 2, you can immediately choose to get the Kaioken and Super Saiyan transformations right away. This suddenly makes most of the rest of the game irrelevant. Side missions are suddenly useless, because you just train with Whis to level up over and over again to get the Sacred Water that can apply to literally EVERYONE. The only reason to complete the game is to make Goku and Vegeta stronger against Beerus. That’s it. The only difference is that the fights for Gotenks and Vegito are still unchanged. Say what you want, but I really think that this DLC should have been built around the main story progression.

If you use the ultimate sacred water you can get to max level faster

A huge part of the grind is removed because the Sacred water item you get from Whis gives a huge chunk of exp. I started somewhere around Lvl 126 and 124 for Goku/Vegeta and fought Beerus immediately out of curiosity knowing he'd kick my ass easily. After that, I took on a few of Whis' trainings and around the one with Lvl 100 requirement it yielded good exp and I gained a level in about 2 bouts. To speed things up a bit I went back to the main game and got a few premium full course meals cooked before heading back. Fought Wish, collected the sacred waters, leveled up, rinse repeat and was at 250 in no time. You get about 10 waters per fight and possibly more for completing certain objectives during the match. Overall it does feel like a lazy DLC and I imagine it would've been a lot worse had I already been at 250 when starting it.

Unpopular opinion: i love when videogames take a different route than the original source. As long as it is not complete trash, i'd rather play something completely new, instead of the same old thing i know by memory already

I can not begin to explain my disappointment in this DLC. Absolutely Heartbreaking. I enjoyed the gameplay the odd 27 hours it took to complete felt very enjoyable but a little off, dont get me started on Gohans cut scene and the very limited playable time as future trunks. I'd still give it like 7.5/10, 7.75/10 if gameplay was a little less repetitive, 8.0 if the cut scenes were just good at all, 8.2 if it was actually 100% accurate to the story line, and an 8.5 if the dlc was better only time will tell I'll get back to this when they do may update; stay posted.. It would be a 10 if it was literally BT3 like how is that still the best game out? 🤷‍♂️ off to the PS2 ig does anyone know if BT3 is on the Switch? Yo globku the water you get from the level 100 to 200 Whis training mission can be used to level up your character super fast Like since I played the training missions for half a day and got 700 of the water I ended up getting my goku to level 250 in 10 minutes.

It's easier to level up with whis. You can keep doing his mission's over and over again to get the sacred water that gives you exp
