You might recognise Superintendent Ryan Koh as the 'Cardboard Policeman'. Yup, he is a real policeman.

Because he’s so smiley in real life, cannot recognise him as the standee policeman. Probably why ppl don’t recognise him on street, but at the end when he do the pose, I’m like yes, defo him hahahaha

what feels like it isnt a crime, but actually is? if you curse and swear at someone it's actually an offense under the protection from a harassment act as long as your person swear and it caused somebody to be alarmed or be distressed by it or be harassed by it so if it's just like you know colloquially you know the the word just comes out that it in itself is not an offense but if you it's directed at somebody and somebody feels distressed or harassed by it then it's actually an offense. this yo was an interesting fact

One funny incident happened at the hotel I was interning at. Two male guest, idk how, managed to sneak the police standee up to their hotel room and did a prank on a complete stranger staying next to them by putting the standee there and ringing their bell. The strangers were two female guest who came alone and as soon as they saw the standee , they thought a legit policeman came up and called front office for help🤣🤣 The whole incident felt soo surreal until we all watched the CCTV footage 🌚

Thanks very much for the sharing. Yes I still remember very well of the "cardboard officer" and it really caught my attention all the time and to be honest, I was truly shocked by it the very first time when I saw it appeared in front of me and also thought that I was literally stopped by a real person, which I'm thankful for it wasn't the case. hahaha....Anyway, I think I like the real officer Ryan much more because he is way more friendly and approachable than the serious look "cardboard officer". Hahahaha...

Just now at Bedok heartbeat, a heavily tattooed guy not wearing mask was sitting at a bench and digging his nails. Then he would at times talked and cursed and used hokkien vulgarities. A few times he would shout loudly too and my heart jumped many times due to him as I sat at the bench next to him. Based on what this police said, this guy is clearly committing a crime for causing distress and harrassment. But I left eventually. No one dares to approach him.

I once saw Ryan in one of the neighborhood food court, and was very tempted to take a pic. But my friend deterred me, stating that maybe he doesn't like to be disturbed on his off. That was the one of the biggest mistake I ever make in life :( BTW, Ryan is more good looking in real life! 😃
