I love that I'm not the only one who keeps going back to the Sims 3 bc Sims 4 is just insufferable

I played TS4 for a while and I enjoyed it, it's not all bad. I will say though that I have literal memories of my Sims' experiences in TS3 as if they were my own. Feeling secluded while exploring Egyptian tombs knowing the rest of the world was going about their lives as usual, living it up in the best Bridgeport apartment I had ever renovated or chilling in my Sunset Valley beach house, raising a child in Twinbrook and having them explore the outskirts to collect gemstones for school (danger free of course), taking shelter from a massive thunderstorm in Sunlit Tides, taking in the views and architecture of Monte Vista, following my Sim horse riding in Appaloosa Plains, I could go on. That didn't happen for me with TS4. I think it's because it feels too much like you're not in a world, it feels like you're constantly simulating different scenarios. The maps were 2D... The loading screens every time I wanted to leave the house kinda discouraged it. Sims' emotions system was mostly irrelevant and there was almost no uniqueness to Sims. Passersby vanished into thin air just as quickly as they appeared and you couldn't stalk them to see where they were going, you'd never even hear your neighbours getting home from work and see them walking inside their house... It felt... soulless. In TS3 you know there's an entire world of Sims actually living their lives and it makes you curious if anyone's at the park or wherever. In TS4 you know no one is anywhere because the only place that's being simulated is your house and the street around it, with occasional passersby.

This video blew me away and made me realize just how much potential the Sims 3 has when you use mods. The game is incredible as it is but with mods you can make the game truly unique and fun. I would love to see a video of your Praaven save.

You should try Zerbu's Ultimate Carees mod for actual active student and teacher careers.

I love your creations! Thanks for sharing the Custom Role Mod. I like to make functional venues as well. One thing I do for my business building is make a designer or architectural firm in one of the offices so my ambitions designers have a place they can actually go to work as they have open hours. I've also done a few versions of the town hall. I tend to set the lots to hangout because I didn't have the Custom Role Mod, and everyone shows up. It's fun to watch. How do you make all the teens in town come back to the school at once? Judy Bunch seems like the type who would volunteer to tutor students after school, so I thought that was neat that she showed up to do that.

I like the knitting and the toddlers are the cutest in four and I like the pottering wheel and sewing machine and the shopping features of two but the open world and immersion of three can't be beat if I could find mods for those things in three I'd never need to play any other games

Great video. The problem with the Shop for Clothes mod is that when you use it changes the age of your Sim (in days, not the life stage). I couldn't fix that so I uninstalled that mod and I use the shopping pedestal. By the way, I couldn't make work the menu. It says that there is not industrial oven nearby but I have two installed.

Honestly I looooove sims 4. I started off with sims 4 and I love it so much. But it gets so frustrating at times because i have to keep searching for mods in order for the game to be fun. Especially when playing with just base game. I didn't wanna try the sims 3 because of the way the sims look, I felt like I wouldnt have a connection with them. But the sims 4 was getting me more frustrated as sometimes I have to keep updating mods more than how I'm doing an actual gameplay. At one point i lost the game because it crashes with the mods. So when i decided to get sims 3 i was kinda heart broken to do the change over. But when i started playing sims 3 i found out that the sims are bot as ugly as i thought. Especially when i play with high graphics. I can connect with them. And the open world is just so...❤ its much easier to handle the sims. Unlike the sims 4 They don't do a bunch of crap before they can do what you want them to do. Sims 3 is great for lps. Its like the sims understand the assignment and play along with you. But still I love sims 4, I just get to like the sims 3 waaay better.

The Sims 3 with a couple of mods is the best game of the franchise hands down.

I just wish sims 3 release a 64 bit installer to mitigate the memory issue. I know its not a full fix but having all of the processing with the open world and a ton of mods and multi sims processing and background sim processing RUNNING ON 3-4 gig RAM limit is just an absurd feat considering Sims 4 have loading times with as much RAM as you can feed it. What theyve done with sims 3 is nothing short of a miracle in terms of it running at all and having that potential open to more memory that that baseline limit may just extend its lifespan for another decade.

I think the sims 3 could really benefit from lot traits

Please. Please make a response to that Sims Summit. When I tell you that all they revealed is MAYBE a create a style to come in a few YEARS. I was astounded. Mostly because all of the YT vids are hype like anything of value was presented.

This is amazing, I will definitely be trying this out as well. Have you tried out nraas' Go Here mod btw? If I remember correctly there is an option to prevent sims from going home autonomously. So maybe this could fix the problem of teens leaving school early

there are something i downloaded before from the sims 3 as well that i dont know it comes with something, and i still dont know what it was that i downloaded which has it, when i reinstall sims 3, the item is no where to be found anymore, i tried putting all my downloads back, its not there. sigh. its a cheap shower head shaped like a coin, too bad, i dont know how it got in my game, and now its gone. even a tv that i never downloaded, its a mounted tv. omg.
