The thing is everyone is an addict in some way shape or form, whether its to your phone, a hard drug, caffeine, booze, a workaholic, sex, etc. everyone is addicted to something and everyone should work on understanding that and not look down on someone based on what they are addicted to.

Sure but not all addictions lead you to stealing to satisfy it and hurting those around you

100% The God's truth! Every human is addicted to something!! Recovering 24 years now and could be right back out there tomorrow, any given day. Empathy must be had. I wish you, ALL, healing and peace!!!

As an admitted member of both sides of this coin, with sisters to judge you, scorn you, and ostracize you. Each one of them with "issues," not "addicts.". Alcohol is an issue bc it's legal, obesity is genetic, HARD-LINE LYING is just a character flaw, as is being out right two-faced......but who could any of those things hurt....just the one that is barely hanging in there. So, let's all try to look a little deeper when there is a mirror in the room. Speak a kind word. It's free and much easier than a human life. You can't get that back, then you sit smugly back and say, "I just lost a loved one, friend, family member, or child" to addiction. It wasn't you. You're the one with the power or me, I'm out of one Hell and into another bc I'm still someone's mother. Yes, I think I felt that song, too. ❤❤❤❤

I was trapped in my addiction to drugs for years. I'm sober now and have been sober for almost 7 months. Prayers to those struggling out in the streets. Great song and reaction.

Jelly Roll was addicted to something back in the day
@ItIsWhatItIsTV-4 ай бұрын
This is painful..i used to chase my mother around various drug houses around the bay area in Oakland Cali thinking i could save her..many of days i would beat on doors knowing she was behind them but dudes with guns would run me off..i had no power at the age of 15 to protect her. Just typing this made me cry and im now the age of 48 and though i placed those memories in the back of my head never to be remembered this video placed me back in that time. Jelly Roll verse is literally what i had to do.This song is a gift and a curse. Shout out from west monroe la. I thought i had escaped those memories... but clearly i have not... via this song.

Joyner getting Jelly Roll for this with his past was genius. It’s not just his incredible voice but specifically the last time Jelly Roll sings the hook you can see the pain in his eyes. Man this is art, beautiful yet so sad 😔

Too many people are lost to this. It's so selfish to drag so many people along for the ride. It's hard to let go of someone you love, that's true. But it's easy to let go of someone you hate. The thing is, a lot of the time the person you hate most is yourself. 15 weeks

I love how he spoke from the addicts perspective…the addict telling him that he doesn’t even know how it’s so hard for him to realize that he’s the one that tainted his vision of him. That he wanted to be more and because of the addiction he can’t. Deep in his bag!! 🔥 react

The Co-Star in this music video is Mic DeVine. He wrote a song called "Way Down We Go". He dedicated it to his and Joyner's friend Dave who they lost to a OD. Mic's song "WDWG" is said to of inspired this song. Mic didn't have to fake any emotions for this music video. He just allowed himself to be vulnerable and show his true feelings of the loss of their friend Dave. I love how Joyner always gives both perspectives in his songs. Joyner, NF and Tupac are my all time favorite artists. I love music that I can feel and that move me. All 3 have brought me to tears many times. That's real artistry. Like an artist with 🎨 and a 🖌 . They want to make unforgettable connections. Those ppl are truly talented. Not the 🗑 plants the music industry has placed into the spotlight these days. Krayzie Bone from Bone Thugs n Harmony said he was invited to a closed door meeting, where he had to sign a NDA before going into the room. He said he knew a few ppl in the room but not the rest. These men in suits said they wanted the other musicians, music producers that were also present and Bone Thugs to start putting or more of.... gang banging, guns, committing robberies and more crimes, murder, hoes, money, cars and clothes etc... in their music therefore impacting the youth in a negative way. The men in suits basically said it would reach the youth, they'll inspire to try to live that lifestyle and in return lead them to prison where the men in suits would profit a lot of money since they're privately owned. This was back then and now look at the music these days and look at the prisons overflowing. Js...

Bruh open ur mind “disease my ass” bro even Joyner was coming at it from both angles like they both hurtin in different ways. idk bro u should educate urself before making ignorant comments that’s gon hurt ur viewers suffering with addiction. I ain’t pressed tho everyones got they opinion I guess just wanted to lyk that prolly wasn’t his goal of the song to trash ppl struggling w addiction. So don’t switch up in the second verse talkin like u didn’t say that shit in the first verse ya feel me. Besides that I do fuck wit ur channel and love to see y’all winning so keep grindin,all love
