These guys are more diverse than any metal band I can think of. You would do yourself a service of a deep dive. They are SO FREAKING UNDERRATED. Would love to see more on your channel!

I also second checking out Dance Devil Dance, glad you guys enjoyed it! It seems it’s going to be one of the lighter tracks in the album, I love how funky and groovy it is, they’re very good at groove. I also agree with how it sounds good as is without the emphasizing, it also makes sense once you read the lyrics which seem to have a melancholy theme to it.

Great reaction! I like how you mentioned the live factor…Avatar writes all their songs with the intention to play them live, so they don’t use much in the way of bells and whistles in the studio. There are very few songs in their catalog that they haven’t played live. Two of their albums, Hail the Apocalypse and Hunter Gatherer, were actually recorded live in the studio! So what you hear on recordings is what you get in the live experience, and then some! The upcoming album, Dance Devil Dance, was recorded in a small cabin in the Swedish forest, with just the band and producer, so I’m guessing that helped contribute to the more simple production of this song (I know nothing about producing so correct me if I’m wrong). The main riff of the song has been sitting around for about 20 years, the band has said, waiting to be used! I’m glad it finally saw the light of day. Avatar has been around for over 20 years now, (since before the movie of the same name), and the band members are all only in their mid-30’s, so they were very young when they got started….probably why they’re old souls! Anyways, I highly recommend checking out more of Avatar, and if you can see them live, absolutely do it!!!

They lived a dream, opening for Iron Maiden not long ago. They have tons of much heavier music, but you never know what they're going to bring with each song and album.

So Devil assembled cultists and monsters to sabbath.)) 🤘🤘😈🤘🤘The vampire is Ronja Kruus, she played Tim's girlfriend and also EDM dancer in Avatar Country. It's so cute that they don't forget those with whom they used to work.))) They have very diverse sound, try The Great Pretender, Let it Burn, Hail the Apocalypse, Tower, New Land, Smells like a Freakshow, House of Eternal Hunt, The King Welcomes you to Avatar Country and other.

You said that they have an old soul vibe. I can't agree more. From death metal to modern metal they are like a sponge that sucks up the influences and then wrings them out into great new songs that still hold the spirit. Their diversity has made me rethink what metal bands could/should be. They run the whole spectrum! I think you mentioned that a band had to be good live too. I've been dying to catch them live here in the U.S. I most highly recommend reviewing live at Club LA Destin Florida "Glory to the King/Legend of the King/Let it Burn". Available on KZfaq. Considering your intro music, I find it humorous that you chose this song to critique. Honestly, you need to have your mind blown by Tsar Bomba, Smells Like a Freakshow, Napalm, Torn Apart or Hail the Apocalypse. The primary reason you guys have never heard this band is because because they are Swedish. If you look up "underrated" in the dictionary, you will find a picture of AVATAR.
