Absolutely great episode! At 68, I work hard, but sometimes not smart enough…this episode covers many ways to progressively get stronger that I knew, but have not implemented enough.

it's so freaking common to hear "progressive overload = increasing intensity" when that's just one factor. if you did a sufficiently heavy weight for 3x10 today, and next workout you were able to add another rep(3x11)or another set(4x10) then that is a progression. or if over time the same weight went from an 8RM to a 10RM to a 12RM, that is also progressing since what used to be heavy for you is now light. then there's speed, if you grinded out a slow rep of a weight but over time the speed got faster and faster, then again, that's a progression. tldr progressive overload is when one variable changes from workout to workout

Question tho, does changing rep ranges also mean you are changing weights too?

yes lower eps more eight higher reps less weight

it's all relative. sufficiently heavy weight you can do for 3-5 reps, you will not be able to do for 10+ reps, so it needs to be adjusted
