Just a quick note on the specified IPX4 rating of this product. The digit "X" in the IP rating from Techtron means they have insufficient data to assign a protection level. The digit "4" in the IP rating from Techtron means "Protected against water splashes from all directions. Tested for a minimum of 10 minutes with an oscillating spray (limited ingress permitted with no harmful effects)"

I have this its brilliant and the price is great. Cheapest suspension scooter and the app makes it go up to 27 mph, kickstart mode also preferred as you can make it drive in error. The app is brilliant

Great video and still thinking about an escooter for my 4 mile commute mainly on fairly quiet paths. Looks like there is an updated Techtron Ultra 5000 due out this month? Still a bit worried about getting stopped by the police - is it an instant fine, points and seizure plus have many people been stopped - we are in Bucks and not seen many escooters about tbh? Not bad for £500, but I suspect there are some questionable quality components in it for that price. I like the suspension and tyres tho, and platform is bigger than xiaomis so that is always a plus.

Ive got one, they're awesome. I dissagre with them being hard to tuen due to weight, i find mine pretty easy. They do stand up to a ton of abuse i absolutely torture mine off road, ive had a few big crashes and it is still going strong

It just boggles the mind that not only are illegal high speed scooters for sale with no ID checks, but ones such as this that aren't waterproof, a time bomb for another Grenfell!!

The problem with these scooters being not a popular brand, you will find it hard to find essential spare parts such as the dashboard and controller for when they inevitably go faulty.

I have two of these. Nice scooters but mine have numerous quality problems. 1. 6 screws are needed to be fitted to retain the handle bars but the holes are not drilled correctly so only 4 screws can be fitted. This cannot be safe. Best of luck talking to Techtron support. 2. The mechanism to lock the handle bars and stop them from folding keeps coming loose and won't stay tight. This can be quite dangerous. 3. One of my scooters topples easy when on the stand as the stand hinge is welded at a different angle to the other scooter. 4. There seems to be a weird bug in the app if you have multiple scooters in your family. I find the app seriously reduces the acceleration of one scooter compared to another. The max speed setting also seems to set one scooter different to another. 5. I often get motor error Code 16 which the manual says means "motor hall abnormal". The suggested solution to this Error is to "check if the motor hall wiring is normal or not" but it doesn't say how to do that.

The battery on mine has died I think, the screen light just flashes, tried charging and everything but it doesnt work, where can I get a battery replacement for this scooter? Techtrons support team seems to be non existent. I've tried to contact them but no response, has this happened to anyone else?

as far as I can see….Electric scooters are classed as powered transporters and are treated the same way as motor vehicles when it comes to rules and regulations, which means places you could ride them like pavements and cycle paths are forbidden to ride upon. It is not illegal to ride electric scooters in the UK on private land, however, it is illegal to use them on public land. You can only use an electric scooter in public if it is rented as part of a trial run scheme.
