You are one ambitious guy. I was a tractor mechanic back in the 60s and 70s. But switched to electrician in 87. Mechanics can be difficult and dirty. I admire your patience and skill.

Congrats, Pete! She's a Beauty! Her bright red color comes through clearly on my TV & her new tires complete the look. I know you're proud, it shows. It's wonderful to see one of these old tractors restored & on the road. A farmer wears many extra hats: mechanic; carpenter; welder, etc. I liked your road test...she sure can pick up speed. 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜

@@richardsabean5781 Thank you for reference to that video. There are several but, Paul Harvey with that distinctive voice is the best. I miss listening to Paul & his "the rest of the story", I remember him on the radio when we were youngsters.. Guess I just gave away my age there! 😁 Yes, the farmer wears MANY hats. Both my parents came from farms & I have cousins in Arkansas still farming today. It's a hard life but, a pleasing one to get to work with God's creatures & outside with your hands, instead of cooped up inside an office all day. 😍

Super job Pete!! She looks like an old 1950s tractor brand new. We enjoyed watching the videos of you working on the old girl. Great amount of knowledge you have. I have old 1950s Ford Tractors and I’ve noticed when you get older it’s not the brand as much as seeing these old tractors all shinny and new. I decided to take a little bit of my day to make your day better by commenting positively. No Lester here. Stay positive, it’s a reason I keep returning to watch. You also inspired me to repair an 2000 neon clock I had. Parts from Amazon $8. Saved me about $150 for repairs.

Pete, What a fine machine!! Thanks so much for showing us this project. Wondering if you can tell us how much you have in replacement parts...... Also, the test drive video reminded me of driving my dad's old John Deere 'B' around 1961 or 62 (had to stand to reach the brakes!!) when my dad felt adventurous and wanted me to feel the same love for the farm that he had. I was 7 or 8years old. Anyway, thanks for stirring up old childhood memories in this 66 yr old kid! Bless you, my friend!!

I love to see the old red Tractors come back to life. We farmed with a verity. Massey, Alice, Farmall, and Ford. We always said "If it ain't Red, leave it in the shed. 75 yr years old now, and no longer farming. I do have to make a confession. I have a Green E100 in the shed. Keeps my grass mowed. Thanks Pete. I really enjoy your videos. I left the farm when I was 17 and joined the military. Stayed in 24 years. Drove a truck for 25 years and retired again in 2010. Now I am a loafer.

Thanks for letting us "ride along" on this journey, Pete. As a past restorer of trucks, cars and motorcycles, I saw my own face in yours while you grinned ear-to-ear on the test drive. What a beautiful tool. The great thing about restoration is you get to do as much or as little (at least on the cosmetic side) as you want. That said, I LOVE the looks of that bare muffler against that shiny "new" machine. And, whatever you do with that beauty next, it was a wonderful experience watching it come apart and then back together. Although I don't do that kind of work any more, I can still take a lesson from how you handled the machine shop slowdown, and your approach to the "little" glitches along the way. No fouls, no strike outs. Patience and pragmatism are rewarded in so many ways.

I am so glad the Farmall has been restored to glory and will be out in the fields and not a museum. I learned to drive tractors on a very old Allis Chalmers. My dad was not the most patient of teachers. More like a 'get-it-done' teacher. Learned not to take old country road corners too fast or you can two wheel. Thought my Dad was gonna choke as he was following me in the pickup.

I so LOVE watching these MD videos! Even though I've been on and drove little of the F14, 340, 560D wide front and the 1967 806D wide front? The only tractor I spent the most time on was that old 1946 MD widefront which I was with Dad the whole time rebuilding, fixing, and adding new hydraulics, 3point hitch and all! My heart is SO IN TUNE to every second of your MD videos! I started crying with joy seeing those painted pieces going on. And then hearing it start up and driving it down the road? THAT really, really, really got to me!!! Memories were just flooding back to me! Side note, Dad clocked our MD without the loader on going down the road at 22mph!! THAT'S FAST for a farm tractor!!!

Pete you did an excellent job restoring this tractor! I agree with you that it is nice to see restored tractors on display but it is a alot more satisfying to get to use them, work them, hear them, and see them do the job they were built for 50-70 years ago. We have had a farmall high crop tractor for 50 years and we still use it to plant and plow the garden each year. I believe Farmall tractors with all of the different ways to set up the plows is the most versatile tractor ever built. I enjoy your channel and the way you explain what is you are doing and why you do it.
