Israel has Arab police, Arab judges, elected politicians, mosques etc. It’s a free country. Tel Aviv is a gay capital. If two American gay husbands travel to Israel their marriage is recognised. Well, as usual, the reality of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict it's much more complicated... IMO, both sides are abusing each-other, nobody is a saint, there are crazy people (and decent ones) in both camps. However, in terms of tolerance for gay people, Israel is a decent country. Kudos!

I always thought that islam was so strict about this, that a gay person would either have to deny their homosexuality in order to stay muslim or stop being muslim to accept their homosexuality.
