The ESV Journaling Study Bible is the BEST and only Bible you need. You can take notes and have study notes to help you understand the context of scripture. This is hands down the best Bible for beginners. What are your thoughts on this Bible?

While my eyes and mind were in awe of this Bible, I began to get the urge “Ohh that would be a great Bible!” While I currently already own 2 (ESV & KJV). Both of which have much attention that is needed by my eyes. The best Bible you can ever own is the one God has placed in your hands. And if God has placed a Bible in your hands then blessed are you. God chose to speak to you directly. Many do not have bibles. So if you have one. Learn it, memorize what you can, express it and share what God has give to you, to everyone else.

I prefer the Wesley Bible in NKJV. So many good footnotes and explanations. I appreciate those that you’re sharing. Mark in Iowa.

Get the Orthodox Study Bible (OSB) It has Septuagint for the Old Testament, and NKJV for New Testament. It has writing from the Church Fathers to authentically interpret scripture, and information about the Church and typologies in the OT relating to the Holy Sacraments and the work of Christ. 10/10 Bible.

I have KJV, ESV, and OSB. And I gotta say the OSB has helped me so much with understanding scripture better. Anytime I have a question about verses I go in there and read the footnotes, it’s truly amazing!

It's really insane to me that there's so many hateful comments here!! You're just recommending a Bible. I love the journalling study Bible! My only gripe is thin pages. I don't mind bleedthrough, but I do mind the price for such thin pages! 😂 As a fan of bookbinding, I understand to a degree, but I've seen books with more pages sold for less. Then again, I got it for half price myself haha

I personally LOOOVE the ESV, and to have one of my own to hold would be a dream come true. If it's the Journaling Study Bible specifically I would love to have one!!! Your unboxing, review, and comparison on it was my absolute favorite video, and it still is to this day!!! I also want one because I don't have a study Bible, and I think that a study Bible is really what my Bible study needs, and also because I love the concept of portability and extra space that it comes with for notes, and I believe that note takers are world changers and history makers. I absolutely loved the CONCEPT of this Bible, but the execution was a problem. The paper was so thin that I could only use pencil, which smears and eventually fades, and the binding was so weak that after just 6 months of studying with it, the spine snapped. (Right between Acts and Romans which is where I was going in depth for a while.) I was SO sad. 😭

No, the LITV by Jay Green is the most accurate absolute word for word translation. I’ve tested it with the actual original Hebrew and Greek and it didn’t fail.

This could have been the perfect Bible IF it was single column. I wonder why they made it double column if both the ESV study Bible & the ESV journaling Bible are single column. They really messed this one up.

Fonts are way to small. I need at least a 9pt font. Love their interleaved but that font is 7.5. Crossway does a great job.

ESV (English Standard Version) is a more modern English version of KJV. It was led by the top 100 plus evangelical scholars and preachers of the time. But they did not derive their work from KJV. Instead they derived on the most recent publication of the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek literature. However ESV is most akin to the KJV. Using high level contemporary English language that keeps error in translation to a minimum and confusion between the literature to a minimum. KJV uses a majority of the same English but many words are not seen in the way they were spoken in 17th Century English. With that said, a study of KJV would beg for a bit of education on how to appropriately read 17 Century Style English. Which at the time was still heavily influenced by our European heritage

There is no such thing as "the only Bible you need" the ESV is a wonderful translation, but it would be naïve to neglect other translations in your personal study. ESV is great, but not perfect.

No translation is perfect. But if someone is looking for one Bible this one is pretty great having the study notes and journaling space.

i disagree.. the quality of Crossway bible is so disappointing even their premium ine look cheap.. i hope they will improve and do the same quality like the Zondervan and Thomas Nelson...

Matthew 17:21 is it missing the word fasting? The look up KJV it does contain the word fasting in it. Compare words in the translation to kjv

No it doesn't, the only ESV that has the Deuterocanon is the ESV-CE (English Standard Version Catholic Edition) aka the Augustine Bible. I used to own the ESV Study Bible (not the specific one in the video) and while it did have the Deuterocanon in it's Table of Contents, never once do they appear in the entire study Bible and they don't go over them

Absolutely. Based on over 1900 manuscripts and preserved by many scribes all over the world, all compared giving us the KJV Bible. The only one based on those manuscripts. All modern Bibles are based off manuscripts and a Bible written for Constantine. Then translated by Westcott and Hort whom neither believe in the divinity of Christ. Search who they have ties to and what they were involved in. Read some of the letters they wrote to each other and other people. It’s rather disturbing and convenient that every modern translation are from these manuscripts. So yes hands down KJV

@relaxingrealityescape5336 1st attempt of an English translation was the Tyndale Bible in the 1530s, and the first full translation into English was the 1599 Geneva Bible both of which are more accurate than the KJV. Also, quit using the Constantine excuse because he was most definitely a Christian emperor.

You need to stop replying or making videos to the questions you get about the bibles. I would forbidden all this bible industry and allow printing bibles in hardcover only. People are idolising the book, paper, font size, leather bind, etc and forgetting to read it and apply it.

Evolution is not the subject of Christianity, and the bible is not a scientific book however the bible does not teach that Adam and Eve are the very first man and woman created. Also, the story of Cain and Abel is clear that there were other people and communities on earth.

For anyone using any Bible other than the KJV, find and post a reply exactly what your Bible says in Mat. 23:14, 17:21, 18:11, Mark 7:16, 9:44, 9:46, 11:26, 15:28, Luke 17:36, John 5:4, Acts 8:37, 15:34, 24:7, 28:29, Romans 16:24 The KJV is from the textus receptus, and all modern translations are from the Alexandrian and one other, my mind went blank, but do a little digging and you'll find about Westcott and Hort, who did not even believe Jesus is God, had ties to some pretty disturbing things, yet you hold in your hand a translation, with your modern Bible that they are responsible for. I think I vote hands down the KJV after doing a little studying where all these Bibles came from. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Most people who say KJV only don’t even know which current and last update they’re reading because it’s surely not the 1611 release.

@@Jesus_Strong All the “updated” KJVs only go till 1769. That’s the last year that happened. All these updates did was correct typographical errors, punctuation and font/size. Nothing about the original translation was “corrected.”

@@isaiahfroese239 yes that is correct, just wanted to make sure as your a KJV-Only you know very well. But it still doesn’t justify being KJV-Only, it being the Majority Text doesn’t have what the Critical Text has as well, but either way if many are being saved other than the KJV, then what’s the issue?
