@@doublesnotroubles there are plenty of a340 auto boxes doing 11s, and even low to mid 10s on e85. My own box has been doing 10s for nearly 10yrs. Seems to be holding up...granted an a340 behind a torquier 2JZ would be extra stress, a conservative tune to ensure torque levels aren't too high is easy enough for longevity reasons. Lol. Maybe not love it, but in a majority of cases they're a very strong box compared to most, and when they've been looked after they can handle quite a lot of extra power.

@@doublesnotroubles big power these days would be running into the flat 10s or 9s, which golebys over in QLD have done loads of times. Can't say there are too many cars that can go from let's say 13.9-14.0secs down to 10s without a box rebuild...so Toyota did well!

I have a GS430 Second Generation - V8-powered with 300HP and looks just like this Toyota in this video... runs so smooth and is my daily driver in the traffic packed streets of Los Angeles - no matter how powerful the engine would be - it would not be optimal for me in my surroundings but my GS-430 is so reliable that I think I can easily hit 300k miles on the odometer

I tossed up buying one of these, instead of my IS350-F Sport... But I already have a 550rwhp 6 Speed manual Toyota Soarer, so I figured buying another JZ-powered car would be bad for me because I couldn't resist the temptation to modify it. Sometimes, I think 'Should I sell the 350?' but fuel economy and already having a heavily boosted JZ car come to mind.

Dam 6kw and 70nm more than my Volvo, S80 T6 2.8L twin turbo 2002. Big, luxury car. The Volvo goes mate and it's got a manual mode. This Toyota is fantastic for a big luxury car it would go like the clappers and was cheaper. I would of paid around mid $90s to just under $100k in 2002 if I remember right , it wasn't over the $100k I remember that lol, but that was with basically every option in it. Lol this thing and the Volvo can lose your licence very fast. The speed you can do in these kind of car's and not even realise it is amazing. You really need to pay attention to the Speedo. On open road's you can relax and look down and you are over 140kmph without even trying. Cruise control is super useful 🤫😁👍💗 lol talking about gearing the Volvo won't change into 4th gear until you hit about 203kmph if you are flat flooring it. 😁 Not that I would ever do that haha.

@@RossReviewsau you would love it man, for a luxury car! it's one of the most comfortable car's you can get. I think it's 0 to 100 is in low 7 second's so it's not a rocket ship but its fast, enough and will pull 270kmp top speed. They do have issues though. The gearbox is known for failing (if you don't look after them, sometimes even if you do lol. In 2004 they fixed that) The steering is very soft/easy but I don't really find it bad. But in saying that maybe I have gotten used to it. It's soft. I have seen a few American videos of them that are ok, but still don't have the options I got in mine. There is an executive spec you can get, but not in Australia 😭 it has tv and fridge and no middle rear seat and blinds on the door windows as well. Mine has the rear window blind but not the ones in the door's. Hopefully you can find one, I'd love to see that review. 🙂 Don't do the 2.9L that a different game altogether 👍
