Something I meant to point out: for whatever reason, hipfiring Taraxippos feels GREAT. I do it all the time even just normal without cascade for cleaning up and it’s great. I can’t explain it, but it just works. A little SGA for ya!

Yep! Ive had a Fang of Ir Yut with rewind and Hatchling that I use as an auto rifle and hipfiring feels perfectly serviceable.

Yeah, this weapon & the moving target/cascade point roll was slept on so hard last time around, I wonder if people will figure it out this time? Honestly, I started hipfiring in a crunch, realized it had nearly the same stability feel & then played it that way, but in my head at first I thought "can I do this?", Lol.

I have found that most 180s have been pretty good in hipfire, the season of the witch scout is pretty similar.

I am semi new to Destiny and don't ever really play PVP I am a Hunter and I just got Taraxippos and the roll I got chambered compensator,accurized rounds, keep away and kill clip and stability on master work. I am watching this video for googling the PVP God roll of the Taraxippos, I am learning a lot of destiny Perks on the weapons and videos like yours helps me alot. Thank you for the upload!

For sure. Like I said at the end, not much has changed for this scout in PvE. I think if we would have got slice, discord, and some of the new perks it could have been interesting. But it’s definitely leaning PvP now for me, but this is coming from someone who usually wouldn't use a scout.

Taraxippos has been my favorite weapon in PvP for the last year! And thanks to you, now I understand why. Although I truly enjoy the rush of competing against other players, for years I used to stay tf away from PvP because admittedly I'm not that good and kept getting trounced. This scout rifle is THE reason I got into PvP and (finally) got better.

I've been really enjoying my roll with 4th times and precision instrument. Being able to chain headshots for bunch more shots without needing to reload really helps with being able to stay in the fight after I get myself into trouble

I got a zen moment and explosive payload roll and it has been awesome in pvp. Having explosive allows me to challenge at longer ranges and provides a bit of safety because of the extra flinch. Plus zen moment helps when I happen to be fighting more than one opponent by keeping my stability stat topped up a bit for more consistent headshots.

The thing that makes this tempting is lightweight. As a struggling hunter, the 2 tiers of movement really helps, and given the sorry state of my EP rose at the moment, this is worth a look.

Good looking out! I was just thinking about this yesterday as I kept dismantling so many rolls. I got some bangers with big combos from the chests, but horrible 1st and 2nd column perks. Can't wait for another chance next week. Is it just me, or is this guardian games actually more fun than previous years? I never really minded it, but I'm legit enjoying what they did for us this time.

Interesting. If you use gutshot for the radiant antibarrier trick, it hits harder with no range dropoff while hitting shield only. Under over is double the dmg effect

Really dig the different play style recommendations! Cause I suck, can't hit a crit in pvp to save my life, and am old so my shits all wonky unless I'm looking to burst my heart by swallowing 10 Adderall like some of the kids do! Or burst it with 3 of those energy drinks(which is totally possible and drinking them young will cause you to have high blood pressure by the time you're 40.)! I tend to play PVE and I recently found on Taraxy I prefer 4th Time and Precision when running my FoeHunter Because of Permeability being on my Indebted Kindness this helps maximize the uptime of the x4 Damage buff at short and medium ranges while freeing up my heavy for Dragon's Breath, Two Tailed Fox or even the Dragon Cult Sickle (Chain Reaction + Demolitionist) for when I want to see green filaments everywhere lol

Another scout that sort breaks the mold is Transfiguration with max handling and moving target/ keep away. It is stupidly easy to duel and beat handcannons at mid range with it.

Usually I agree with you. However, with the new sandbox, I have found lightweight and rapid fire scouts are proving to be very good. Most people are not as aggressive as they were 4 days ago. I’m also considering using my adept whistlers whim because it’s going to catch people off guard and it’s also lightweight. I’m really happy how the new sandbox is making me rethink of weapon types that I would not normally use. I’m having a lot of fun with Aisha’s embrace as well. You should give it a try, comp felt really easy yesterday when I equipped it

So I got one last year w zen and killclip. I forgot I had it. Needed strand and scout kills for a bounty. I openly gasped in the crucible with how smooth and lethal this felt and I’m now mad for not having used this more. I have a hung jury w box breathing so for obvious reasons that’s been a go to for higher stakes PvP. Bit for sixes and maybe even comp, I will be reaching for my Tarax more often! Don’t deny yourself folks, it’s good!

@@Legoleflash I've been running it the last 2 months or so. The buffs weren't significant but overshield instead of damage resist is an upgrade I think. At least in duration it is. It's weaknesses are that you have to build up energy and that you'll have to reload often. I run a void loader but that's not enough. I also run markman's dodge and the stasis fragment that reloads my weapon on my shuriken hits. It's strengths are floating way above shotgunners and having buffed damage in air. An old weakness was target lock smgs, they would always beat me when I'm trying to build my meter and just using a high stat smg. It's been fun to try to use it to it's full potential.

@@abitterdraft because the manticore playstyle relies on some movement and misdirection already. And I can easily escape shotguns then smg them. The main thing is that I want to be on stasis for shatterdive. I don't think using an arc or stasis weapon is very important. To me that's a negligible part of the exotic that doesn't fit how it's meant to be used.

@@Legoleflash⁠yea the one I have has a range master work. Everything else checks the boxes. Arrow head and a counter balance is 99 recoil direction. Need a stability masterwork though. I tried using it in supremacy. Shotgun not gonna cut it in the energy to proc cascade. Will need to work on making a build. I do have a heliocentric with heal clip kill clip. Maybe that’ll work

Haha, YUP. Graviton Forfeit grants me 100 recovery though, so doesn't really matter too much. Maybe in the new sandbox I'll need to with less abilities.

Just turn in medals for the event! Can pretty much do any activity, but lost sectors were probably the fastest

hahahaah yes I can finally use cascade point with Trinity on a fast ttk strand weapon to get easy tangles with the thread of isolation for silly suspends in pvp (yes ive tried perpetualis and had a lot of fun but the range killed it in high intensity duels)
