I have some expirience playing the guitar but I wanted to take it to the next level, So I'm taking the Guitar Supersystem´s lesssons. I've just watched a few videos and the approach and examples really adds value to the learning process!

Such a difference with the sound on those 2 guitars on the Harmonic minor scale example. The PRS example had a much nicer and deeper chiming reverb - a tonechasing sound I have always sought. Maybe it's the buckers.

if im not mistaken that was either a dorian or mixolidian scale but i could be wrong because my music theory is all over the place. never really been good at music theory, feels like it just gets in the way. i know what i hear in my head, i put it out into the physical world through the instrument whether its, violin, guitar, drums, piano, a daw with a midi controller and live track. Thinking about the key or the scale or the signature just messes me up instead of helping me. Dont get me wrong, i know my circle of fifths, my inversions, my chromatics, natural and harmonic minors, my pentatonic majors and minors. I can read the sheet music, the jazz charts and follow the standards. but i hate trying to actually communicate music through theory, it just doesnt feel natural. i prefer to just play what im thinking and if im tryna communicate the idea to someone else, ill either preface or follow up with the phrase "Give me something like that." Never fails, its just straight to the point, no thinking required.

I always thought it was weird that violn/viola/cello discourages string changing with a "trust the professional" mindset. Also, strings for those instruments are super expensive.

If I could afford a new guitar, this is the guitar learning system I would buy. Alas, I am disabled with epilepsy and migraines and a fixed income doesn't support fun things like hobbies. Lol. It's all good. I live vicariously through folks on KZfaq. I miss playing, though, and I would totally try this if I had a guitar. It looks really well done.

AI learns from reading things on the internet and we all know that people put all manner of stupidity on the internet, and the AI learns from the most available information, and if all the people who do write good articles and offer great guitar playing information on the internet, but do so behind paywalls, then a big chunk of the information AI learns from is going to be wrong which means the information it puts out is going to be wrong or a jumbled mix of good and bad because AI can't distinguish between the two because it hasn't learned good from bad...so the folks at Berklee in Boston should get together and educate the AI.

I've been playing with AI image generation, it's embarrassingly bad at simple things. Ask your favorite AI editor to draw an analog clock. Want it worse? Ask it to set it to a time. AI is trained by info from the internet, which we all know is plagued with nonsense and falsehoods. The old computer adage: garbage in - garbage out continues to apply. For the foreseeable future, AI displacing jobs or taking over the world is comfortably in the realm of the Y2K hype.

Check AI mixing and mastering apps and websites , and keep in mind it's just the begining. If some new version of AI could listen to the whole track and then started mixing individual tracks, I believe that would be the end of most mixing and mastering engineers 🤷🏼‍♂️

Personally and this is me and courses like Tyler’s is the one of the worst way of learning, especially for someone who doesn’t learn by just watching a video. He said it himself there isn’t any context with videos. Having someone with you to help, point out where you are making bad habits and such forth. No offence to those who learn with videos and Tyler for making these but it doesn’t work for my type of learner.
