I'm not sure if this falls into a weird "Roy Clark" style exception, but Jerry Reed (Smokey and the Bandit, The Waterboy) is an absolutely fantastic guitar player and PROBABLY more known for acting than anything else by most people?

I have just dropped my subscription because of your pandering to Conan the barbarian who is at best a mediocre player but I guess you’re sucking up to him so you can get on his show what a loser

Before his death, Paul Allen of Microsoft/Seattle Seahawk fame was a damn good guitarist. He was good enough to play with Joe Walsh, Kenny Wayne Shepard and Ringo... Search for his name and Rocky Mountain Way. :):)

This man is definitely influenced by the Paul Simon, James Taylor, John Denver crowd. It's like I'm watching my father play... Jeff Daniels is an awesome dude. If he were my uncle, I'd be looking forward to Thanksgiving...

Bro we all have our own styles especially when it comes to finger picking. I've heard bad players and pros and novices alike. In the end, it comes down to this. Do you enjoy what you're playing even if it's just for yourself? Being proficient is the goal. But being a maestro is icing on the cake. I play more of a classical style that I blend in with my Prog Rock. Jeff is great though.

Tyler i want you to know after many years of being subscribed to you, KZfaq has for no rhyme or reason unsubbed me from your channel. I just noticed, and resubbed, obviously. I even questioned myself, like "did he do something I didn't like? Why did I unsub? what the hell happened" But i scrolled back and i saw the last video of yours I watched. Absolutely nothing wrong. And ofc I don't remember unsubbing. So, worth the inquiry I would say.

I was literary 2 min from sunsubbing .. and you turn this around with giving a honest and genuine video... guess im sticking with this for another 10 years

Jeff Daniel's makes me nostalgic and he's so humble, it warms my heart to see him come out of nowhere and humbly play the guitar the way he does and this song is so good 😊 cool to see you give Jeff a video, well deserved 👏 Tyler

Hey there I think someone knocked you upside the head, I just noticed you had this big scar on your head, your playing isn’t as funny as his,but jeff has a way of not looking like jeff when he plays, that may be harder in your case, especially because of that, oops I won’t say it,now that I can’t see it,because your a better shredder anyway.

I can teach you to travis pick in 5 minutes. You have a lot of what it takes already. i've done it before for ppl who thought they couldn't do it. Once the mental seed is planted you'll know the trick... and it will take you no time from there.

Great voice, reminiscent of that New Jersey guy. And yeah, he can play. I'm closing in on 70, am still known in some circles as a pretty good Electric Lead player, but I can't touch that finger-style stuff. Didn't know JD played, and I'm pleasantly surprised and pleased. Wonder if he's looking for an Electric Lead player ('cos those are rare in the LA area...).
