Dont forget the presence knob on the back! Youll need that on about 3 - 4 oclock to make the 6505 come alive! Ive got this pedal running into a Blackstar Amped 3 effects return, on the EL84 setting and its pretty close to the 6505+ I have. Theres a heap more gain than on the real amp and I find having at 11 oclock is brutal enough to still have the chunk when chugging. Great review, very entertaining!

Thanks for another informative and fun video. TC electronic is part of the Music Tribe family (same holding as Behringer). I use TC electronic and Behringer stuff myself and I'm happy with it. I'm just mentioning it because many people have a strong opinion against Behringer but use stuff from the same plant without knowing it (Tannoy, TC electronic, Klark Teknik and others).

Behringer has some good equipment, especially when it comes to studio rack units. Also some of their guitar pedals do sound great, unfortunately they still use plastic housings on some of those. I’m not a fan of these TCE preamps though, none of them sounds convincing enough over both cheaper and more expensieve alternatives.

@@JoeBaermann I still have never had one of the plastic housings fail on me. I gotta say when SweetWater first started carrying Behringer I was shocked, because they didn't tend to do the super cheap junk. But they had definitely stepped up their game a bit from where they were in the 00's.

That pedal is great. I have a two-loop set up with a JHS looper so I can switch between the sweet Deluxe Reverb and the 550 within my pedal chain. From there, running into a synergy tube power amp, and then my 2x12 cab. Its dynamite. I have used 5150's forever, and for anyone to complain that they have too much gain.... well duh!!!! That's why hardly anyone with a brain turns the gain up that much, put it at 2 o'clock use an overdrive to put it into brutal-town. To anyone who uses 5150s and wants to have that brutal capable sound in an apartment setting like what I have, this pedal is a great option.

I use French tickler maker creamer and even though I lost 70 pounds I've noticed a huge difference in my long fellow creamy creamy .I could use it as a guitar slide or a whammy Rodd .

You have a point in spite of any post-creamer outcomes. I wonder if everything on/maxed sound is useful. But if someone likes it, I say cheers. (Prediction: Joyo will soon consider dropping the price of the Bantamp).

I'm not so sure. Remember, these are just preamp pedals, while the Bantamps also have 20w power amps. I think they're meant for a little different user base.

Well it's not getting a really high physical coming 5000 miles away it sounds just right but maybe because you're 5000 miles away from me you're getting to hear more Sizzle at the high-end it sounds really spot-on and I think you're coming through just exactly the way you're playing it in the way I'm hearing it?

What is the headless guitar here? If you mentioned it in the video, I couldn't find it. Generally speaking, a boost is used for TIGHTER gain rather than more gain per se. But you know this. 🙂🙃

I wonder if Popeye ever said sag? This amp simulator has a lot to gain not so much for clean. If you put a 1 in between the 5s you'd be crazy!😂 We all know what this thing does matter of fact I have one but it's A lot bigger and it has a 6 at the beginning. The Peavey 6505 has 'too much gain ' so this is in keeping with the original. Just because it's there doesn't mean you have to use it. Many cars have 155 mph limit, but you don't drive that fast

That doesn't sound like a 5150 here, it sounds like they heard the sizzle and just copied that, I have heard much better 5150 emulations for barely any money or as part as bigger modellers. THe other pedals sounded a lot closer to the amps to me.

I hate those types of vocals as well…. but for certain styles you need them. That is why I use this plugin… vocals of rage. It delivers that style… I don’t have to like it, but sometimes I need that.

Not if you have been battling with it for a year like myself. Prostate cancer .I have lost 70 pounds in 6 months now I have very little energy no appetite all my money goes to Dr bills and medicine so excuse me if I aren't laughing very much I have a autistic son . when I'm gone I don't know what will happen to him .I try to get prepared for that day .my sister died and mother of breast cancer 2 years ago .I'm not scared of dieing I worry about my son I still love you your awesome hav a great day
